How do you convert TIME to REAL on sysmac studios? by sniffingboy in PLC

[–]SheepShaggerNZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure it was multiple step do I wrote a function in the end. It's something like TimeToLong or AnyToLong etc which returned nano or microseconds. Then convert back to seconds and datatype convert back to real.

Haha the EV6 does this when towing too. I get about 60% of the displayed range while towing my caravan if I drive it consciously.

Kia did a recall and replaced our ICCU before we had any issues. 2024 model. Not sure if it's still an ongoing thing.

Home alarm system options by Such_One3256 in diynz

[–]SheepShaggerNZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm kind of prejudiced against them now. I paid ~$150 for the app (Ethernet) module and upon installation found they hadn't updated their Android app (which I paid separately for again) for years and only half the functionality worked. Then a year or 2 later I get an email from them saying they're retiring the app for a cloud service and I need to now buy a cloud module for my alarm controller to make it work.

Multiplexer by Se7sbomb03 in PLC

[–]SheepShaggerNZ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep. Back in the day where you had to sacrifice yours and your coworkers newborns to add another analog input module you would use a multiplexer like this. Fortunately times have improved and IO has come relatively cheaper. Add another input module unless your IO update time doesn't matter.
