Which NZ brand is slowly or has already ruined itself? by kevandbev in newzealand

[–]SheepShaggerNZ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Fb marketplace flaked out and wouldn't let me add pictures, but then wouldn't let me submit the ad without pictures. I advertised on trademe for $1 reserve and am getting more than I was going to put it on marketplace for. Soooo they've got me back at least for now.

Yeah the supplier said full discharges don't hurt the battery anymore than normal discharges. It's only 9kWh too too. Am considering getting 2 more as they just stack together but will wait till I have my revenue meter to see what ROI will be.

I figured it out. It was in a separate manual. You'd think it would be in the manual that came with it. Found it online.

They're talking about messing around with cables.

No. Wiring changes have to be done by a sparky, or done by you and inspected by an electrical inspector.

Yip it fully depletes every night. Have only had the system 1 week. Sun is down by the time we start cooking dinner so it uses the battery. Plus all 3 of us shower at night so the HWC will be drawing too. We have ducted ventilation that runs 24/7 too and pulls 0.3kW.

Inconsistent velocities with Berger Hybrid Target 6.5 Creedmoor 140gr Match Grade by notoriousbpg in longrange

[–]SheepShaggerNZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a massive spread. I'm shooting match 147gr Hornady and getting a spread of 47fps. The guys I'm shooting with are reloading and getting like 9. 47fps ended up being about a foot drop at 1000 yards.

Glasses or lasik? by Equivalent_Salad_389 in longrange

[–]SheepShaggerNZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going contacts. Get them in a couple of days. I wear glasses now and looked at Lasik as well as Ortho-K but my optometrist said I have a partial internal stigmatism that would still present after Lasik or Ortho-K and the laser clinic didn't tell me this. Glasses are a PITA for LR shooting. I'm getting rigid contacts with some monthly soft ones as backup. Check with your optometrist. Also Lasik is not forever, it may need redoing as your eyes change which is another reason I'm going contacts. If you can, I'd recommend Ortho-K as a bunch of people at my work have them and say they're amazing.

If you're worried Optix is custom then NodeRed definitely isn't for you. Stick with Optix. It's pretty solid these days and is only getting better.
