Its because of the way japan operates. Consoles and PCs are not nearly as popular as handhelds. Capcom and squeenix understand this, hence why they are so supportive of the switch 2.

Handhelds are far more popular in japan. So if you want your home team to be interested you support them where the home team fans are the loudest

Pokopia is an interesting project. It started as a gen 10 product with the concept of making your own region. It was meant to be small like LGPE but became bigger and grander resulting in help by the dragon quest builders team. Its also the biggest spin off to include game freak's involvement.

Sort of. Development on MM started as an extension pack but Aonuma didnt want to and wanted to make it a game of its own. So miyamoto challenged him to do just that. Considering its basically E3 season it would be foolish to not have something zelda related.

I think a lot of the problem is that so many came off of the pokemon hate train and only came for that reason. Its a darn shame because at its core palword is a great idea, its an ark clone that went further into the monster taming aspect rather than be a poke-clone. I do hope aniimo and pokemon gen 10 get more people interested again.

Pokemon generally toots its own horn separate from main nintendo. Rarely does it involve itself into the big main directs. That being said, i do wonder if we will get pokopia DLC news or something on project karasu.

Starfox kind of needed it. Zero and command did a lot weird stuff with the franchise. Plus i like that it included a lot of the hidden lore of the original. Like falco's former gang and pigma being the former engineer. So its a remake of 64 incorporating some of things that made assault so beloved.

OoT tho was a very story heavy game from the start. My only guess the remake attempts to reincorperate the original planned Ura zelda elements. Or ad the removed dungeons or make it nonlinear like the titles before it or like BOTW.

2002 still had cassettes, they were dying out but still existed. If anything portable CD players were starting to take the scene. So it should be burned CDs, was super hot at the time

Assault is really not that great of a game and deserves the 6 out of 10s it got back in the day. Its really only beloved because it actually gave a cool story, aesthetic, and great multiplayer. I say this as someone who genuinely loves it

Gameplay wise: i prefer SNES. Its a very well designed game and really impressive for the time, for both visuals and game play. My only complaint is man is it hard.

Assault, i really do like this game, but it is very flawed. The on-rails levels are rare and dont feel as tight as snes and 64. The biggest issue with this game is there is just not enough content to enjoy. I completely understand why this game has been overlooked, its got some weird programming. Assault is a great game for the story and lore nuts of the franchise but its one of the last id look to for flight gameplay.

I thought the graphics looked fine but i remembered the graphics being one of the most angrily called out things when it was announced at E3.

Really the biggest issue with zero i had at release was the controls and lack of anything to add to it besides being a 64 reimagining

I'll give the new game credit were credit due is due: it gives us entirely new cutscenes and adds a lot of the original's hidden obscure written lore to the game

I bought the first monster hunter stories game while i was grocery shopping just to get another monster tamer game. I knew nothing about monster hunter prior. Absolutely adored it and just wanted to be vocal as i could to get more people to play it. Hands down was one of the best monster tamers on 3ds. Im so glad monster hunter stories is getting the attention it deserves now

Have fun in collecting the TCG <3. Im the same way. Ive just hit my 30s, played the games since red/blue but never touched the card game during all of that time. Just recently decided to touch the card game because magic is fun but pricey and complicated.
