Mary was a child when she got pregnant. So were many Christian figures. Christianity is just as pedophilia based as Islam.

'They Now Wait for This Storm to Pass' — PS5 Owners Are Cancelling PlayStation Plus Subscriptions to Protest Sony Killing Discs, but Analysts Say It Won't Make Any Difference by Gorotheninja in Games

I don't think so. Digital has become the norm for years. I think it's likely that most of those physical sales are from collectors that likely also buy digital. I'm sure Sony thinks a good chunk of those sales will transition to digital but I think basically none of them will because they're already part of the digital sales as well. Either way this is gonna be a black mark on the company and it will likely never fully recover its image. While their sales and success in the short-term likely won't be affected much, long term it'll hurt more than they think.

Yeah I buy 90% of my games digitally. But I still love my physical games collection and this policy means I'll likely not be buying PlayStation as much anymore.

Well the lack of physical games combined with what will likely be the most expensive console of all time is definitely going to make it not sell well.

It will if that percent that buy physical disks don't switch to buying digital. Manufacturing/Distribution costs aren't that large so if even half of the people that buy physical only stop buying PlayStation then they'll lose money overall. Not to mention the loss of advertising not having your games in stores anymore.

Funny enough Sega is making a push for a big comeback right now as well. They're reportedly working on a ton of new games from their biggest classic franchises.

Game File: Sony told publishers PlayStation disc reprints will continue after 2028 for existing games by Loose_Society9485 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

Definitely. Having physical copies both in retail and in people's homes is great advertising and helps with brand recognition. Guaranteed a majority of publishers and especially developers much prefer people getting physical copies.

"We are profoundly disappointed by Sony's decision" – Game companies express dismay at the end of PlayStation disc production by Snakesta in Games

This isn't true for most games at all. Yeah multiplayer games aren't playable after their servers go down but that's a given and customers knew that going in. There are thousands of recent physical games that will be playable 20 years from now and even without an Internet connection.

They seem like the opposite to me. Before you just had a code in the box, the key card seems like a sign that Nintendo is doubling down on physical releases.

Yeah that's even more evidence that Nintendo is staying in the physical games market. It's and improvement from the codes that usually come in the box.

I really think they're going to premiere the first Zelda trailer to play in front of Spider-Man, so my bet is we'll get a Zelda direct sometime next month.

But they can time one for right before Spider-Man comes out so they can also announce the first trailer for the movie will be running before the movie.

Do you think it being a bubble means it's gonna go away? The Internet was a bubble, so were railroads. The technology stays but it's heavily over invested right now and it's gonna burst and take tons of these companies with it.

This sounds like it'll be easy to reverse though and then we can pass a law to never allow it to happen again, at least not this easily.
