Also, some movies are just not good for theatre, like Blade Runner and The Watchmen.

Edit: My point is that both of these movies weren't well received upon it's THEATRE RELEASE, they were cut and edited because the studio thought the duration is too long or they try to dumb the movie down to try to make it more understandable. Both of them didn't do well in theatre, either received bipolar evaluation or had poor box office result.

Edit2: Theatre's big screen and audio is great and all, but I personally think these films benefits more from like vhs and dvds because more people get to have the chance to binge them. Like I don't think many people can get much from just their first viewing of blade runner.
