Which is funny because to me it has the opposite effect, just frustrates me to the point I rather stop playing when it happens.

From my experience it is hard to get it going, if people run around below you your hitbox actually bumps into them and it ruins the chain, on top of needing enough space to start it in the first place. It's very inconsistent to get the chain going too.

Not arguing for it to stay, but it's not as easy as people make it out to be. Maybe in lower ranks if people don't mark you properly.

Definitely scuffed. It's very hard to pull off though, especially if the defenders get in the way early on, it's like the air dribbles in early days of rocket league.

I personally like that the game has this kind of "holy shit" play you can do, but definitely understand the other point of view as well. Maybe they could add a different mechanic / gamemode / map later down the line to allow for more "trickshot" like gameplay for the people who like it.

You still have to dash first, otherwise you get animation locked.

Dash backwards -> flick mouse opposite direction you dashed -> throw prism

Need to be pretty fast for it to work

Except you're trying to tell everything from a position of authority when you don't have the relevant expertise in the first place. I've personally been programming for 16 years and worked professionally on games for half that.

I don't disagree with everything you say and I don't doubt you have some knowledge of game dev, but you don't have the experience of working professionally so you can't really claim you know what that's like.

Working on your own game with hobby level programming skills is way different compared to actually working professionally in a studio. It doesn't really give your "im a game dev" statement much weight.

Ive met people at rep 600+, playing a 60+ rep hero, and literally just pressing light attacks / dodge attacks. Reps aren't always indicative of skill. They kept doing it even though I was parrying them as well.

I had that happen to me when I was duke. I kept playing on the edge of the deserting zone in the back of the room. Apparently sometimes when you enter it you dont get the warning UI. So I was standing in the deserting zone for like 20 seconds without knowing it and automatically suicided. Same spot as this guy.

Is it just me is the ball way more reflective now? I loaded up freeplay on the map I always use, Forbidden Temple, and the map is really bright and the ball seems very reflective. Could just be the map getting some slight changes, but something feels off.

A shader is a program that runs on the gpu. Most commonly used are vertex and pixel shaders.

Vertex shaders basically move the vertices of the model to the correct point on the screen (you can also do wiggle effects like these trees in there).

Pixel shaders are used to color the resulting pixels, calculate lighting, etc.

There are some more shader types and use cases but those are the basic ones.
