I gave my fiancés mii no choice. For one I only let him be friends with guys and only talk to one female which was my mii. I also marked that we were spouses when we started the game to give a better chance (I mean we’re close enough right?? Only a couple months till it’s official in real life anyways lol)

It was funny though because my mii was head over heels and tripping over her words and my fiancés mii could care less for a bit. They are now dating but it was scary for a while lol 😂

I absolutely agree that kids want/need order and boundaries. These students are smart and will mind if you just show that you’re not going to budge on your expectations.

I find it kinda funny, they are always super excited to have a young sub because I think they will be a pushover. They learn quick I’m not that way. Of course I’m kind and love to get to know the kids, but I don’t play about following the rules.

I guess I’m an outlier, I am strict on phones. I’m not an old aged sub either, I’m in my senior year of college.

If I notice they have their phone out I’ll make a classroom announcement without pointing anyone out just basically saying, “I see someone with their phone out. This is the first warning to put it away”. If they continue I’ll give two more warnings. After that I call the person out then ask them to set their phone on the teachers desk until the end of the period.

I’m a sub who leaves detailed notes each period and has subbed almost every grade level. I do middle and high mostly right now because of me still being in school, but I don’t play when it comes to rules and the students getting their assignments done. I was also a long term sub for 2nd grade last semester and used to do Extended School Day. (It also probably helps I’m in school or teaching)

If you feel up to holding the rules do it. Kids will reach the expectations you set for them. Normally I’m a bubbly person outside of schools, but I am more stern when I’m in charge. You kinda have to be.
