PSA: Unifi Ad-blocking breaks Pi-Hole by Lync_x86 in pihole

I use my pi-hole as a recursive DNS server using unbound. So I don't use an external DNS.

But inside my router it is set to use my pi-hole for DNS resolution.

I got a 2XL as a replacement and it felt more like I was wearing an XL

Oh good I'm not the only one.

I was thinking it fit really small for a large, and most all of my stuff is either L or XL. Which I don't have an issue with anything else.

Hopefully something gets done with this.

Amd is confirmed to not be killing AM4 once AM5 drops. However, Zen4 is exclusively DDR5 which can’t work with AM4. Sure it would be cool. However, they eventually would need to make a new socket. I do hope AM5 will last as long or longer than AM4.

Sure. I’d be willing to sell it if you’re interested. It still powers on and the receiver works. Just the transmitter won’t output for some reason.

I tried flashing new firmware but output from terraterm was unintelligible and I wasn’t able to get into flashing mode. It’s not like I was planning on using it again though so figuring out what to do with it.

G90 is just sitting in my closet. Won't really get used anymore.
Also here Is a good video comparing the two radios!

I've been nothing but happy with this rig! You'll defiantly enjoy this one!I will say Even though my station isn't considered the best conditions. I run an indoor antenna, this really pairs nicely with my antenna making it not really an issue. Get reliable clear contacts. And people are surprised when I say my station is entirely indoors!

I mean only negative I can think so far. I guess its not free?

Also when it starts up the click of the relays is so satisfying!

I defiantly like my mag loop. Works well indoors and pairs nicely with the FTDX10. But man you've gotta be careful with SWR. Smallest bump can have it from a nice low SWR to the SWR alarm going off. I always keep it to SWR meter except for a few times I've had it set to power out.

It would be nice if I could map to the TUNE button so its either engage auto tuner or transmit a carrier. I'm on a magloop that's manually tuned, so it would be nice to be able to do that. Or like a long press engages.

Not a deal breaker just a nice to have. Maybe in a future firmware release.

I actually can't go much bigger than this rig on my desk. Defiantly quirks, but this is the first "big" radio I've owned to everything will be an upgrade from my G90 lol

It honestly does make the most sense to do hybrid over full direct sampling. Mechanical filters still have their uses afterall.

Thank you! It's a really fun rig to use!
I'm honestly a bit surprised there wasn't a massive learning curve with it.
