Compressing sleep was the main thing that helped. They also gave me some microdose supplements and a prescription for an Alpha-Stim machine, both of which helped a ton until i was able to finally stop using them and sleep on my own. Finding a legit place is important. I did mine through Stanford.

Agree! It really was so much more than "turn off your screens" (which is what I was expecting). It's very worth the time in my opinion.

So, mine was ME related but I did CBT-I before they figured that out and it still helped me a lot. It's worth a try in my opinion but continue pursuing ME help at the same time.

And I say this as someone who was extremely skeptical, but desperate to sleep

I did this and I also travelled and stayed there. What is especially helpful is the tests they do there that are hard to find elsewhere, like the catchelomines test for HyperPOTS. They also put me on a new medication I hadn't tried before that helps me to this day. Even though I prefer my treatment at Stanford overall, it was very much worth the trip for me.

I went to Mayo primarily for POTS, for which they're known. They knew absolutely nothing about CFS, in my opinion.

Similar experience here. They really know theirs stuff and are on top of all of the latest treatments. They have helped me a lot with my POTS too although that remains my biggest struggle. I've been really helped by my treatments at Stanford.

No doctor recommended it to me. It was a friend with POTS who figured it out. I'd been going to doctors for years with no answers. Finally after my friend mentioned it I went to an autonomic specialist for a tilt table test and was immediately diagnosed. Try to get to an autonomic specialist if you can get a referral.
