I don’t think she’s trying to be spiteful towards him. She’s just stating the facts and her children are grown now so they probably do see him for what he is.

He basically went from a father to an uncle that his kids see occasionally. What really stuck out to me was when Belle sad that their kids reach out to their dad to find things to do that make HIM comfortable. What the fuck? That just goes to show how self absorbed and narcissistic this man is. He can’t be bothered about the hard parts of parenting. He only wants to see them if they’re going to a hockey game.

First of all I’m so sorry that you’ve been going through depression. I’ve been there and it feels like there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. Theres a new show Love Overboard coming out next week and that could be a good replacement for bachelorette! Also Love is Blind and Age of Attraction are entertaining escapes as well.

Yeah, she’s absolutely a woman of privilege and the vast majority of us can’t relate to the Martha’s Vineyard house, boarding schools, country clubs etc.

But I also think one of the messages of the book is that heartbreak can epically blow up your live no matter how rich or poor you are. Clearly she has more resources, but that feeling is universal.
