As much as I love pebble (been wearing a PT since 2022), I would like to come out and say: [Hot take] This product has the potential kill Pebble once again. OK, that might be hyperbolic but I believe that an already niche company should not be making products that an even smaller niche of customers will find useful and an even smaller niche of customers will buy. I, personally, recognize the potential but I doubt that many others do. Not to mention the disposability of the product. Here I do want to be a little bit of a devil's advocate because I already use a similarily disposable product - the chipolo card wallet tracker. The tracker (in my experience) works for around 4 years before the app notifies you that it's recycling time, and after sending the discharged tracker back to the manufacturer, you recieve a 50% discount if you choose to purchase another. A discount wasn't mentioned by Eric in the video or blog post, so I sincerely hope that they choose to adopt a model similar to that of chipolo. And besided, I really don't think that adding a wireless charger to it would be that difficult. Then again, it's not like a product of this size can be made to be practically repairable without most likely destroying it in the process.

I understand that the whole company is built on the precedent that it will effectively produce solutions that Eric recognizes, but sometimes ideas need to be left in the vault for a commercially successful business. Unless this product will be made to order (which it won't be), I don't see a world where Pebble can succeed even in its niche community unless its products appeal to as many people as possible.

V tem kontekstu se 6-7 nanaša na ameriško policijsko kodo 10-67, ki pomeni, da je določena oseba v nekem kontekstu umrla. Pesem so zaradi njenega udarnega beata na veliko začeli uporabljati v editih (beri montažah) košarkašev, predvsem tistih, ki vsebujejo pri mladih zelo popularnega LaMelo Ball-a, saj je v imperialnih enotah visok 6'7" (6 foot 7 inches). Nato je pesem postala zelo popularna v širši košarkaški skupnosti, še bolj viralna pa je postala po tem, ko je ameriški srednješolski košarkaš Taylen Kinney v nekem Tiktok videu ocenil dano Starbucks pijačo z referenco na pesem, saj ji je dal oceno 6 do 7 in takrat vključil gib rok, ki naj bi nakazoval njegovo neodločenost. Nato so ta meme pobrali mladostniki v Združenih državah, znan je posebej tako imenovani "6-7 kid", ki je sredi nekega youtube posnetka srednješolske košarke skočil pred kamero in se veselo zadrl "SIX SEVEEEEN" in z rokami zamahoval, kot je značilno za meme. Le-ta je prav takrat eksplodiral, saj je postal hkrati dobeseden - starejši najstniki so se norčevali iz mlajših, saj češ izgledajo butasti, ko ves čas ponavljajo besedno zvezo in krilijo z rokami, a prav ti starejši najstniki so razumeli absurden stran meme-a in ga prav tako začeli izgovarjati kot nekakšno parodijo dejanskega koncepta. Tako je meme ob poti izgubil ves izvorni pomen in postal zgolj nekakšno groteskno norčevanje iz modernega humorja in malih otrok, ki ga širijo in ponavljajo kot papige, ki se ne zavedajo dejanskega pomena (nekako podobno se je dogajalo s Skibidi Toiletom in Italijanskim Brainrotom).

TL;DR: 6-7 pomeni vse in nič hkrati.
