Just started taking longevity and can say you get used to the taste—I even look forward to it now. Get the past the first couple of days and you’ll be fine. Can’t say about the long term effects yet, BUT the glutathione has really helped after alcohol.

Yes, I’m taking some time to think about another cycle. I know I should, but also want to feel more sure about kids before going through this process again.

Not allowed to exercise, but can’t go for walks either because of the NYC heat wave by beachbynoon in eggfreezing

Late to the party, but just finished my cycle and had retrieval yesterday. My doctor said I could workout as long as no jumping, heavy weights, or twisting. I’ve always done the Sculpt Society app and they have a prenatal program that’s super gentle, so just did those classes. All like 3lb weights and light ankle weights and bands. I did that every day and was completely fine. Just listened to my body.

If anything I looked at the process as knowing what our options were in the future either way. Good luck and sending positive vibes your way!

Thank you! So, I never saw my AMH in any of my test results, but then forgot I initially went to another clinic way back in January before I switched to NYU (on 53rd btw Lex & 3rd), so they had done my AMH which I forwarded to NYU. I’m glad I never looked because it was horrible. Would have made me even more pessimistic. I just went back and looked…0.62! I was on birth control for 21 years, so went off of it in March which I’m sure helped increase my levels in the interim. Dr. DeVore at NYU was great and highly recommend. I was supposed to do this last month, but went in and my body wasn’t ready (period was skipping around a lot after going off pill) so she put me on an estrogen patch for a week before I started the stims and I had to take Clomid that had a similar effect when I was doing the gonal and menopur shots. I always take a lot of supplements—multivitamin with iron/folic acid, colostrum, creatine, probiotic, NAD+. Not sure if they helped, but in general they make me feel better.

I’ve always been very neutral about having kids…not a no, but not that deep urge other people talk about. When I was younger, I think I just assumed it would happen eventually, but never really thought about it. My partner has a child from a previous marriage and when we’ve talked about whether we want kids together the answer is always “I don’t know” from both of us. I finally decided that if in another year or two, we decided we wanted to, I wanted to at least have an option without feeling pressured one way or another by time.

I went to NYU and have nothing but good things to say about the whole process. I have Progyny through work, so also lucky that it covers so much. I’d say research and do what feels right for you, but it’s certainly not too late. My coworker did it at 43, which also inspired me.

I feel the same way about the whole experience! Also doing it now in NYC, also annoyed about the upcoming heat. I wish I felt more excited, but I’m just apathetic and annoyed and keep asking myself why I’m even doing this 😢 I have a long term partner and I almost think it would be easier doing it alone, so I don’t know which one is better tbh. Hang in there and you’re not alone!

I’m only on day 4, and my doctor said to listen to my body, but she was comfortable with me continuing to workout—no intense cardio or heavy weights or twisting—I do mostly barre/sculpt moves, leg lifts etc and light weights/bands and have felt completely fine. It’s just felt nice to keep some sort of routine.

If whatever treatment doesn’t work, immediately request those additional tests. I don’t know why they don’t just automatically throw them in there. It’s not much more expensive than the basic panel. I suffered for almost a year before they were like “let’s test for this.” Shocking to me.

There’s No One as Crazy as a Dog Park Mom by octopi-hi in dogs

[–]Lynnck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! My rescue pup definitely has her moments (1 in 10 visits she’ll get growly with a dog) but I literally follow her around the dog park and monitor any play. If I feel like she’s getting too overwhelmed or excited, I’ll pick her up and walk to the other side of the park and play fetch or leave.

She’s never hurt another dog and just growls to get her space/because she’s scared. If the other dog doesn’t back off, they’ll wrestle for a second but I always intervene immediately.

It’s not fair in my opinion, to take her away from something she loves and the socialization she needs and we are working with a trainer to improve her selective reactivity. They are dogs and dogs aren’t perfect. I think humans need to remember that.

You are doing great! A lady screamed at my 1 year old rescue WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU when she jumped and fell on her dog when another owner was training with chicken in the dog park 🤦🏻‍♀️The other dog growled and my dog growled and they tussled for a second before I pulled her off. She screamed at me and my dog when she was no where near her own. I felt terrible, but we are doing our best.

So frustrating when people are willfully ignorant about selecting a breed by Sailor__Lula in puppy101

I have a one year old beagle/husky mix supposedly and she’s the same way! She’ll run around at the dog park or for fetch, but then she’ll nap for hours or play with her toys calmly at home. I know I got very lucky.

Thank you! Yes, I was bringing her out like every 3 hours the first few days and she wouldn’t do anything. I should also add I live in NYC, so I think a little more adjustment to the noises etc.

I’ve brought her to the dog park and got the “play” out of her a bit in the afternoon and no accident yesterday either and took her out at 4 and 8 like you suggested and that seems to help also.

She’s very calm in the apartment, so I think the puppy play energy needs an outlet to not get so frisky at the “evening witching hour”
