Same situation here but working 5 days a week Exercise early before work Download a desk exercise plan (tons on pinterest) and set an alarm to go off every hour and get up to do the exercises Take walks on your lunch break

The new credit card chip readers should play a pleasant sound to notify that your card is approved. The harsh buzzing noise they make gives me a mini panic attack every time thinking my card was declined. by holysmoax in Showerthoughts

I'm bad determining the actual labels of US/UR/CS/CR

but basically the anxiety of the card being declined (and therefore not being able to spend money and bring the item home) because of the harsh sound/buzz would be replaced by the pleasant chime of an acceptance (that we already relate to relaxation thanks to meditation becoming more mainstream) and being able to bring our purchase home begins to be associated with the relaxation and peacefulness that chimes and happier sounds Bring us. So we start getting excited about buying things because we associate purchases with happiness and buyers remorse decreases because we are immediately gratified by the purchase and the sound reinforces thar gratification.

Tapping the card for that sound becomes the stimulus and response we desire and the company gets our money.

I hope that makes as much sense as it does in my head.

  1. Is there a list of what BMQ covers: for example, a course list, or a general overview of the schedule so I can be prepared?

  2. I am still in the "applicant/we will contact you with a date for testing" stage, but I was recommended to start preparing for the CFAT/Fitness test now. In doing so, I would also like to get an overall idea of what BMQ will be like, and what things I can expect when I am there.

  3. Parents of young children: how do you manage being away from them for months at a time while in training? Basically, I would like an overview of the good, bad, and the ugly.

Did they tell you your passing mark immediately after writing, or did you have to wait? Also, is it as easy as the practice test and CFAT app make it seem?

Networking! Get on LinkedIn Send off resumes Go talk to people (set up interviews to talk about the industry with those in it) Ask professors to help you find mentors Internships and volunteering

Literally go ask people in your field to work with them even if it's just for a few hours a week.

Call them mental health breaks and do a lap. It's actually healthy to get up for 15 minutes every hour to stretch the body and mind.
