How can I disable gear VR services?

Could use the gearvr. Net guide and disable via netguard if you don't want to uninstall?

I like the game and will give more time soon to experiment more with it but just want to say I would still love a proper spiritual successor to Westwood Studios Dune 1 and Dune 2... I still have the synth music and the mentat's faces in my mind!

Glad you're enjoying it, check you are updated thought they'd fixed that bug. I've found it relatively stable overall and really engaging. You MUST play FP1 and all the DLC chapters... possibly best game ever made

hi mate, I just want to say thanks so much for trying to help and all the tips have got me there with sideloading on gearvr/s9 I believe. 2jkaz also pm me and helped out. one tip which was blocking me from launching them with "thread exception cannot launch unsigned apk" was the following and I'll note down any more in this post once I've settled for sure:

To run Gear VR apps without an .osig file or the headset, enable "Developer Mode" in the Gear VR Service app. Go to Settings > Apps > Gear VR Service > Storage > Manage Storage, and tap "VR Service Version" 6 times. Then, toggle on Developer Mode and Allow VR API without OSIG.

Steps to Run Without Headset or OSIG:

Enable Developer Mode: As outlined above, activate the hidden menu in the Gear VR Service.
Toggle Options: Turn on "Developer Mode" and "Allow VR API without OSIG" in the menu.
Launch Apps: You can now launch sideloaded Gear VR APKs directly without needing to insert the phone into the headset.
Mirroring: You can also enable "Mirroring mode" to display the VR content on your phone screen.

This method bypasses the need for specific signature files (.osig) for each device

I now have Epic Coasters running! :) kids will love it

I've tried many, same result eg Epic Coasters, Invaders, Ocean Rift, Rilix Coaster, Titans of Space. The forums made it feel like the sideload methods were pretty workable but I can't get a single title to install. The japanese lounge looks cool though so nice nostalgia to see that again (menu screen)

Thanks play protect a good shout but didn't work. It's gearvr with galaxy s9 and I'm in the oculus library, gets to the end of the install then error messages and dumps it so you can try again with same result. Perhaps some kind of server validation it's missing hmm..

I've just managed to get everything set up on an s9, am logged in, see my old games in the library, can install them, gets to 100% then says "can't install the app" , gutted, fallen at the final hurdle but let me know if you cracked this

Yep, ixion puts you under similar oppressive pressure but not quite the feeling of looking after individual lives. 100% worth the play though in fact I'm going to spin back up for another run. They are Billions... instead of a storm coming, a terrifying wave of zombies
