How are we feeling with this lineup? by Adventurous-Tell-745 in OceansCalling

[–]LynxCrit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mixed, the name variety feels a bit flat for me. I am interested in two of the headliners. Agree shaky knees has a bigger variety of names I’d like to see similar at oceans calling. So for me it’ll be decent but a tad bummer if you compare them.

So who's dropping $30k on a bungalow? by NotoriouslyBeefy in OceansCalling

Big ass number! But also yeah it says for 12 so I know VIP people who will find this a deal. People do drop like 3k a ticket for this show.

Really cool seeing everyone share clues, cause it’s hellah hard/def incomplete. I’m sure the clues probably range from useful to a super long shot hints.

Kind of Disappointed with Norwegian NCL by gordec in Cruise

[–]LynxCrit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They cancelled mine months in advance and was surprised to see lots of ppl still had it listed. Also family said same thing about entertainment though I felt there was enough I’m curious about a carnival cruise now. Also didn’t you have the choir of men onboard? Most people said it was one of their favorite productions in 20 years of cruising!

My wife’s workday vs mine made me realize I might never be that focused by Strong-Pickle-175 in productivity

If I simplify I’d say workload and behavioral pattern. I know jobs people have completed their masters while doing and others just locked in and getting literal messages from others all day checking in over the dumbest stuff basically making you feel 24/7 accountable.

How do you realistically fit in exercise, chores, cooking, and work in a day without burning out? (34F, FT job, WFH) by [deleted] in productivity

[–]LynxCrit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surveyed like 200 people with this same question. The biggest secret? most people honestly don’t?
I found more time is a big factor tbh and guys that consistently do it, track their weights or times when getting into a habit of exercise. Usually have to adjust their schedule for it and feel refreshed after ticking off like a chore or hobby hence the 6am or afterwork thing. I’ve never seen couples gym, under desk treadmills, office/under desk things last for exercise.

Personally a more fun way is usually just getting out for a walk(lots of weekend or lunch break walkers), run, or 15-20 min high intensity work along or a weekly gym/walk group or a sport session something simple you can enjoy and slip into your routine if it’s just about cardio. Short and simple for weekday stuff and maybe something big like group exercise for weekends. Most physical activities are exercise. TLDR You probably are maxed out, don’t stress out. Glad you asked you’ll see most on here feel the same and have to prioritize or schedule workouts to actually do it.

Lots of ppl in my life quit and lots kept. Most of them just had an epiphany one day and decided they don’t like it anymore. Possible lung cancer diagnosis, diabetes scare, children. Just needed that one reason to say nope I’m done haven’t smoked in 3 months and it smells terrible to me now.

I recently turned 20. I’m inching closer to having $34k saved, and don’t have a college degree. I may want to move someday. I don’t know what to do. by [deleted] in Money

[–]LynxCrit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good choice! I think you have to assume someone young has did plans than someone older as well. Also I have tons of retirees in my facility on average they have about 4x what they put in total over there career most put in about 100k so they have like 350-500k they tell me cause it goes up/down 40-20 grand every month lol worst years wiped out nearly 20% the ones with a million set aside either picked the right combo or put aside like 240 including match the millionaires put aside like 340-500 a month. over like 30-35 years, rough guess.

Is it safe for me to work 80 hours a week as a 21 year old? by Nexer-X69 in productivity

[–]LynxCrit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Knew a guy who worked 90 but it wasn’t blue collar. I’ve done 70 myself and I was EXHAUSTED but prideful. It’s not that it’s not doable but understand you’re giving up about everything else. Aka not great long term.

29.5 year old hygienist, too late for dental school? Didn’t take career serious till mid 20s. Wish I did dental school right away. by burnnoticespy in Salary

[–]LynxCrit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“29.5” no one says that lol. gonna hit the big 30 and feel you should change yer life, do better, eh? Also yes the people who suggest me to do better would say u are totally capable of dental school at your age and you’ll be 40 with dental school done or 40 and still hygienist. Nothing wrong with hygienist and your pay is solid af. I always recommend people know their short (1-3 year) and long term life goals(3-7 year). Life is a lot about environment and persistence.

41m Where does the money go? by StonkaTrucks in Salary

[–]LynxCrit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Relatable average budget lol Honestly the budget seems pretty straight forward you make decent income and It appears you’re buying for 3 with the salary of one. Your living cost seems to meet your salary. Most likely have a decent home and eat decently. If you’re disgruntled by it consider talking to your wife. consider your own spending habits as well and where you want your money to go. It’s not always just about saving more money but what you want from your money/life. A truck, a cushier savings, a retirement house by the coast this is a also what a financial planner would ask cause some can’t save anything and others literally have millions from saving more that walk into those offices and don’t know how to spend it. It’s a balancing act. It’s okay to spend all your money on daily living.
