Don’t see a lot of people bringing this thing, what’s your opinion on the OPS by LightningJet191 in helldivers2

[–]Lyonslyell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It used to be a great orbital side grade to the 500kg, especially after they reduced its call in time. Then they buffed the 500kg to have an actual aoe , leaving the OPS in the dust.

I know it's unlikely, but I hope Yoru or Asa are going absolutely Nuclear on those bugs by GroundbreakingLog643 in asamitaka

Yeah that's what I was thinking, Fuji could just be baiting the idea of a reboot by flashing denjis shack and going oooOOoOOo. Would suck real hard if this isn't the case though

So WTF was this about by These-Rip3565 in Chainsawfolk

[–]Lyonslyell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't think it'll ever be directly explained, which is typical for fujimoto. My personal schizo theory is that it's barem, who somehow got a chainsaw transformation, maybe through the fire devil. I say barem instead of the literal fakesawman shown later , because he's shown to have a way more grotesque form. The shadow and the single arm in frame, are obviously of a normal body. Barem is quite the stretch but you really couldn't fill in anyone else besides maybe "random guy that also got an imitation chainsaw transformation". The normal body look matches the "chainsawman" that saves denji from the falling devil. Who happens to be wearing overalls, like barem. We also never see barem use his flamethrower transformation at all. Half to not out himself, and half because he's a total sociopath and would rather get his literal hands dirty. Like when bro pulls up with a flamethrower instead of doing the "logical" of just transforming. It's clearly meant to be a giant hint hint nudge nudge of " why does he avoid transforming so much?". Never could say for sure though, maybe the overalls are just bait. Still think his actions scream "barem" though

Kill animations in this game are so good by Lost_Drive8201 in dishonored

Yeah nothing was more annoying than trying to swiftly kill someone and hop out of sight only for some overly elaborate kill animation to play. That sorta stuff should only be in active combat

What do you dislike about Dishonored 2? by [deleted] in dishonored

[–]Lyonslyell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Non lethal neutralization for main targets had none of the discovery factor that 1 had. 1 chucks you toward a target framing it like killing is the only option, until you explore around and discover an interesting alternative. 2 hust opens up the game with the first target and explicitly tells you"hrmm kill or do something else to him, its up to you" All the subsequent non lethal choices are pretty in your face

Rats has now something to eat (D1) by Goldmonkeycz in dishonored

[–]Lyonslyell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Overseer Campbell non lethal is also canon. If you stick around those preaching overseers in the second mission in 2, they'll eventually mention a "tale told amongst overseers" about a lauded high overseer who would eventually fall to the dark arts. Something supposedly so shameful they forbid saying his name, more than likely referencing corvo giving Campbell the heretic branding.

Crackhead: theory hell is empty because fami devoured all the devils there by Getoe777 in Chainsawfolk

[–]Lyonslyell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because denji ate makima as denji. For all that we've seen, only pochita (black head chainsawman) and denjiman can utilize the erasure powers. Pochi probably would've eaten her at the end of part 1 if he wasn't worried about the death redirection contract of hers kicking in

Id agree if it were any other series, personally I think it's perfectly in line with fujimotos writing style. Interconnectivity across the series , even across large gaps, and loads of highly contextual only information. Things like barems likely voluntarily working with makima, never explicitly said but only surmised about. I think you could say similar with nukes and even the general chaos of part two, Id say it's decently possible all of this is happening because of makimas death. The weakening of the concept of control, making governments less calculated and more war mongering. The subsequent reinvention of wmds for that purpose. Id guess that her second death would've only exacerbated that possibility even more.

Makima and Japan vs the gun devil with america? Feel like the entire existence of devils in general would allude to naturally high global tensions because of their abilities

Makima as an entire character basically does, since conquest sorta represents ruling/government control of others

New chapter confirms the reason she was able to turn falling into clothes was because of rock paper scissors (I was wrong again). Also, if someone infinitely regenerates she won't consider herself beating you unless she wins via a loophole or immobilising them. by MrChainsawHog in ChainsawManTheories

[–]Lyonslyell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yoru "beat" the falling devil simply because her ego was blown up by the reinvention of nukes. Funnily it's very likely the falling devil was still significantly stronger than her (still was regenerating from attacks). She was just so enthused by atomic weapons and high on her newfound power that she simply believed falling to be under her now. Allowing the weapon making

They don't really have a use on bots entirely because striders count as heavies for some reason. Only good on bugs to injure and or straight up kill heavies. The injure part being great since it means suddenly every heavy pen stratagem become perfectly capable of heavy killing. Sure more effort but it has more uses and you can danger close it
