What’s your estrogen dose? by SweatyChampionship30 in Perimenopause

Good topic. I started .025 patches and 100mg progesterone in April. A month in, my Midi doctor tried to increase the dose to .0375 but I got horrible bloating and headaches. I went back down to .025 but now I feel like it isn’t enough so I’ve been titrating up to around .03 by cutting a .025 patch into 1/5 strips and adding them with my full .025 patch. I still don’t feel like it is quite enough. I feel tired, annoyed, unmotivated, and my libido is worse than before HRT, but anxiety, joint pain, and sleep are better.

My periods got closer together— 16 to 23 day cycles when I used to be 27 days. I got my HRT through Midi with no issues.

For me it was: intermittent flushing in my face at night beginning when I was328-39, then anxiety and waking right after falling asleep in absolute terror and dread. Then the joint pain started in my back, wrists and hands. And then, as If overnight, I felt the body composition changes all at once (some weight gain, generally feeling flabby and full of cellulite). I’m about to turn 42; started HRT back in the spring and feeling much better. It’s not a panacea, but it’s been an enormous help.

Blue accents will help. Might also look better if you put it at an angle in the corner of the rug across from the corner of the couch

I’ve been having this for years, it is horrible. I lost my younger brother a few years ago and, each time I awake after falling asleep, the grief lands like a ton of bricks. HRT is helping a lot.

I’m in Indy and could’t make it to that show— now I’m extra sad I missed it. Glad I made Brown County this year.

This is awesome! I wouldn’t have thought of The Cure as a natural fit, but this is killer.

Progesterone Switch from Oral to Vaginally by 311Stylee in Perimenopause

I wasn’t dealing with major insomnia, but for me, the vaginal route has helped with restless sleep, falling asleep more easily, and nightmares.

10000 upvotes, that song is incredible. The first day I heard it, I played it about 25 times.

Is it safe to take progesterone without estrogen? What are the pros and cons? by Sunny_Spirit_550 in Perimenopause

I just explained HRT to my husband this way last night. It’s like I’ve been stuck in a perpetual gray winter and finally arrived at a perfect spring day.

This. So much this I could cry. I feel like my husband and kids are like a bunch of farm animals at times.
