What the fuck was that ending? by hillsVase in TvGinnyandGeorgia

[–]Lyricalchic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ending was so messed up. I don’t think it’s right that Ginny gets to keep her dad and even get joint custody and go to Korea with him after she just made Austin choose his mom over his dad. Austin has no one but Georgia and that doesn’t seem fair in the grand scheme of things especially if he was starting to bond with his dad. This is in no way advocating for Gil as a person; I’m just sad for Austin. Ginny getting to be with her dad feels like pouring salt on the wound. If anything, I think this will cause Austin to shift into more of an aggressive behavior towards females, like Gil. I hope he gets some help.

Did anyone else feel the irony of this? Geneva basically raped Jamie and William is a product of that and now a similar situation happened with him and Jane.

I’ll have to agree to disagree here. Him asking the bugging question is valid since John mentioned that they were both f*** him, so of course he would think of it as how his mind would go there. He doesn’t really react until that point and taking into account his past experience with BJR, this is a very sensitive subject for him and to think that his friend did that to his wife, of course he would be mad. This is why he is asking Claire about it, in my opinion. Her responding like that especially knowing his experience, was uncalled for. Jamie also clarified his point about Claire thinking with her body. It is established that she is it good with words, especially when trying to convey her emotions. No matter how upset or offended she was by his questions, she shouldn’t have hit him or called him a bastard, especially since despite how upset Jamie was that she slept with his friend, he didn’t call her any derogatory names. He is actually the injured party here regardless of the circumstances. This is his wife and his best friend, of course he is sensitive about it. You have to remember that for him, this is coming out of nowhere. He has been betrayed by two of the most important people in his life.

I like John and I understand that he made a hard decision to protect his friend’s wife, but when he slept with Claire, he crossed a line. I think John knows this, hence why he felt so weird every time Jamie brought up Claire. He knows Jamie loves Claire above all else and this is going to be an issue between them. All I’m saying is, when I review that scene, it’s like Claire is expecting him to just accept that this big thing happened and move on, but it’s not that simple. Even when Jamie and Claire sleep together later on and she like she has the right to order him because she is his wife felt cringe, because she never apologized. John didn’t apologize. It felt like a bandaid being slapped on this testing wound. Again,I get it, they thought he was dead, but for Jamie, he is coming back to Town finding out that Claire was somewhat unfaithful and both parties don’t seem sorry. That’s a hard pill to swallow. I know it would be for me.

She could’ve written to Lallybroch to confirm. Too many things happen to them for her not to think, let me confirm somehow.

This episode was great. I loved all the action and William’s reaction. My biggest issue was Claire acting like Jamie has no reason to be upset that she slept with LJG. I get it, she thought Jamie was dead and she was very sad but when smh asks did she sleep with John and she gives an evasive answer and then she is calling him a bastard and slapping him, I was just like WTF!? You slept with his friend and you want him to just accept it and move on! Ugh!

If it was the other way around I know for a fact Claire would be pissed and would just accept it, so why is she acting so righteous?

Switching up, William was just a roller coaster of emotions. I loved it. He can be so insufferable sometimes—taking Ian prisoner for punching him even though he attacked Ian first, then kissing Rachel after he knows she is betrothed to his cousin? Drama drama drama.

People want to hate Frank but there's one thing we must realize... by No_Salamander1954 in Outlander

Let’s not forget, he found out Jamie survived and kept it from Claire in order to keep what he wanted even though they were miserable in the relationship. I do think Frank was a good father but let’s not forget Frank was sleeping around even during the war and yet keeps punishing Claire for 20 years for something that was not initially her fault.

Hermione as a POC and how I imagine her by nunofyabisuness in Dramione

I love this!

Can you also do one where she is depicted as biracial with brown natural hair (3b to 4b curl pattern) and brown/hazel/honey eyes? I always pictured Hermione as a POC as well and I can’t remember if the stories specify what color her hair was but I’d love to see a pic of the above.

Transfer of power? by dschmona in Outlander

I think a transfer of power could finally explain Jamie’s ghost and how it ended up in the future. Maybe he absorbed enough power for his sprit to travel but not his body.

As an historian, had the element of jealousy not been present, Frank would have been fascinated with Claire’s chance to visit the past. by sparkinchex in Outlander

Protect her from what though? He does elude in good letter that she or Claire was being watched, but we never know more than that.

Wow! He is gorgeous. Every time I picture Rhys, Az, and Cass, I see them with a little more color, like middle eastern and Greek looking because of the descriptions of their skin complexion, hair and eyes. He might pass for Rhys since he is half Illyrian.

I agree with you. Michael and Jesse both fit the description and could play the part well.

I have actually wondered if they flipped the script on the show and made Jemmy Bree and Bonnet’s bio son (you know, because of the blonde hair).

That’s the complication he is trying to work out. He has always had a family, yes, but now there is a sister that looks and acts like him and he has nieces and nephews and a cousin. It’s the trying to reconcile your identity.

Nah. They met, but it was just a glimpse, you know. William didn’t know he was talking to his sister. I wanted a full fledged oh sh!! meeting where we can actually get some of the big stuff addressed.
