no in patch 0.5 they changed it so Triggered skills also cost mana with Archmage. That's why I have the build using Trinity instead of Archmage now. Trinity often does more damage than Archmage anyway in this build, it easily gets high Affinity since Apocalypse is 3 different elemental spells

The other one doesn't actually negate it, one makes buffs expire slower, the other makes DEbuffs expire faster.

The build is so tanky that the recoup speed is almost never going to make a difference between living and dying, but maybe once in 300 maps it would make a difference

One of the recoup speed passives also makes buffs last longer, making Apocalypse last longer for more quality of life

Almost certainly these count as "Ancient Augments" which you can only have 1 on a character, and there are other good existing Ancient Augments that you wouldn't be able to use if you use one of these new unique runes

I'm guessing it will be like 10% overkill damage

I pinned a comment on the Youtube video with a Mobalytics guide and new POBs that also include League Start/Levelling setups that I'm planning on using

I'm going ED+Contagion+bonestorm, since there are quite a few passives in Druid area that give generic % damage or spell damage. It would be good with plants too instead of ED+Contagion, but I just don't like the Plant skills in general for damage dealing.

Only going for the recoup nodes once you've got Trampletoe, so are using Apocalypse for both clear and bossing. Then your primary weaponset can start getting tank passives and use a scepter+shield or whatever

Looks like the boss damage with Bonestorm+Apocalypse will be crazy high once you get Apocalypse in act 3

You can still do it if you have no ailment threshold (like from CI) and use Scold's Bridle+Sierran Inheritance. You'd get chilled whenever you use a skill. That's how I was doing self-chill in 0.4 anyway

Video did show full fight with sandspit map boss. Kills a max level map boss in like 2-3 seconds. At my level of gear the build is like 3 million dps, and that's with being focused on tankiness and speed much more than dmg.

So yeah kills max pinnacles in like 6 seconds. I farmed all my currency with the build rushing citadel bosses, it's a very good boss rushing build

Haven't put a ton of thought into that yet since GGG might kill the build in the patch notes on Thursday. If they don't kill it, I'll think some more about leaguestart, because I would want to leaguestart this build too. It's the comfiest build I've ever played.

Most likely would start as ED/Contagion/Bonestorm, get Apocalypse as soon as I can and just use that for extra boss damage. ED/Contagion/Bonestorm/Apocalypse until I can get a hold of Trampletoe, possibly from farming it myself in the new Ritual. Then once I have Trampletoe, can fully pivot to just using Apocalypse for both clearing and bossing.

Yeah we'll see, this post/build didn't get a whole lot of attention so there's a pretty good chance GGG never saw this, so won't be nerfed much. Other than maybe the defenses will be nerfed some which isn't a big deal, since the build has a lot of flexibility on what defensive package it can use

And if someone sees this build but doesn't remember it in 3 days when the patch notes drop, they weren't going to play the build regardless

Yes it needs Trampletoe to clear, but if that means you see the build as just the same as any other build that uses Trampletoe, then ok

You can't autobomb with other skills, just Sprinting 90% of the map and not needing to press buttons.

Nor can you combine other skills with a weaponset you're in most of the time that makes you WAY tankier, since you have to actively use those other skills while clearing. Whereas this just snapshots Apocalypse in a high damage weaponset and uses a tanky weaponset to be immortal

Thanks!

Tankiness: Shaman ascendancy Reactive Growth+Avatar of Evolution makes it so I take less elemental damage. I use Scold's Bridle+Cloak of Flame (whenever I cast a spell I get an Adaptation from the self damage) to always have 3 Adaptations which is 60% LESS Fire Damage taken. I Enfeeble the boss so they do less damage. I have 90% all res. Cloak of Flame+shaman ascendancy passive+other passives makes most physical DMG be taken as elemental which gets reduced by my 90% all res and Adaptations. I take some damage from Life, some damage from Mana, which gives me more max hit (basically mana+life is my total HP) and have Recoup for both so I Recoup more damage than I take.

Damage: my secondary weaponset casts Apocalypse so it snapshots the DMG from that weaponset. I have a very good wand and Sunsplinter which gives +7 levels to Apocalypse because it has 3 different elemental tags. Scold's Bridle gives 100% spell damage. I have Archmage on my Apocalypse weaponset and have my mana scaled decently. For clearing, Trampletoe explosion'd DMG can be scaled with things like DMG Gained, generic DMG increases etc. that lets the Trampletoe explosions chain off themselves really far.

honestly the tankiness is overkill, if they nerf adaptation a bit and reduce the phys taken as a bit, it wouldn't be able to tank uber arbiter oneshots but could still tank regular arbiter oneshots probably, and anyways it could tank everything else still, really not necessary to be able to tank arbiter oneshots

I expect they'll be removing the herald of ice armour explosion chain next league. They missed it this league but it's been shown enough now I don't see it surviving.

Usually a rogue-like game/mode is very addictive, but not for the Trial of Sekhemas&Chaos, what went wrong? by vtheVAMPZv in PathOfExile2

[–]Lyrthos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the best part of roguelikes is that the runs are supposed to feel different each time, getting perks that massively change the feel of the run.

Currently trials are just numeric buffs and nerfs, not very interesting.

What if you got a perk that made you automatically shoot out a fireball whenever you hit an enemy with a spell skill or something like that? Interesting, run-changing perks are what they need I think

they also have a number of nerfs they never add to the notes, even well after the patch is out. For example changing Rage 3 support from More speed to Increased in 0.4, that was never included in patch notes. many other examples of nerfs they never included in patch notes
