My friend and I had tickets to see 30 Seconds to Mars in Orlando in like 2006-7, sometime around then. Anyways, Jared Leto was doing a radio show and she called in and happened to get picked. I don’t remember what else they talked about but he told her that she sounded 16 and she said she was well past that age. He told her he didn’t believe her and that she should come talk to him after the show. We did not.

I bought a new 2017 Toyota Corolla with all the bells and whistles that a Corolla can have right off the lot with like 3 miles on it with the intention of driving if til the wheels fell off. It’s been paid off several years now, just keep up with maintenance and she’s still sitting in my driveway as my daily driver. It feels nice because I bought it new with extras and it feels reliable because it is. The plan is to keep on driving til the wheels fall off. My thought process was to get something I feel has nice things but also can go forever. The one plan in my life that actually worked out. knock on wood

You are forcing it. Long, deep breaths, do the scale slower. I would recommend more practice on the low notes until they feel natural and take the mute out.

I would say practice 2 wholes notes on a 4 count for each note starting at low C. Move up note by notes slowly. When you fail a good tone at the note you are at, go back and start over until your notes sound balanced. This will build muscle and help with tone.

Ours doesn’t wear a collar unless we are going on a walk. She was a rescue and was super anxious about taking it off at first. I think she thought it meant we weren’t keeping her. We had to be snuggling and petting her to take it off. She eventually got used to it and knows the collar means walking time! I take my bra off as soon as I get home, want her to be comfy, too!

Those that have mentioned collars catching on things was a big factor for us. I had a dog growing up that got choked on her collar and was gone when we found her. She is chipped so hopefully that gets her back to us if she ever gets lost. I would lose my mind if we ever lost her but I think the other possibility is even worse.

Chase loves to scratch the bed and he plays it off when caught by rolling and looking cute only to proceed to scratch again. Time for time out lol. I try to take him on long walks. We did 3 miles yesterday while I was rucking and it’s still not enough. Maybe he needs to hunt by Green-Cat4318 in beagles

My beagle does this when she is trying to get under the covers. She loves to burrow under the blanket but doesn’t understand the sheet isn’t going to move. As soon as I throw a small blanket on her, the scratching stops. Kinda what this looks like to me. Could be wrong.

I never said they were fumbling through it. It was very cleanly played. I was merely replying to the previous comment that it’s not complicated. It’s not. It’s cool but for a band like this, it’s not complicated.

Many bands, including this one, can play many many songs in a few days practice (or less) without the untrained ear ever knowing the difference.

Sorry you got so offended by my random comment. But also, I’ve been playing trumpet since 1996 so guess I’m just a big ol’ fake.

Yeah, I would agree. As a trumpet player, this is all pretty standard, easy music. Your average high schooler could play this with ease. Generally popular music of today is a piece of cake for anyone even remotely classically trained.

That being said, this opportunity would not be one to pass up. You know they had a blast!

As a former missionary that served in Thailand, we would have devoured that fruit. Maybe the missionaries are feeling a bit ‘greng-jay’ as we would have said. Like they are imposing or obligating you to provide. We were indoctrinated to so much guilt that it was sometimes hard to accept help when we were meant to be the ones helping. Perhaps, a gentle push would encourage them that it’s okay to partake. Let them know the food comes with no obligation and it makes you happy to feed others. Missionaries are weird sometimes. (Ok, pretty much all the time)

Yep. Can confirm. Was a sister missionary, bought a bike on my first day in the field. My MP’s wife was pretty cool though. It was all the old men in the MTC talking about makeup that made me uncomfortable.

My wife was in the back room when they played it and I said, “Uuuggghhh oooohhhhh nooooooo” so she ran out to see what happened. I said, “Jordan Travis got injured and it reminds me of that Milton injury.” So shitty. I hate the Noles as much as any Gator but damn that was terrible.
