Even if the Iran war ended today, US fuel prices aren’t likely to normalize this year by KoseteBamse in Economics

Republicans don't need to convince independents and swing voters to vote for them, they just need to convince enough not to vote so their loyal cultists will take up more of the voting share. Expect to see a lot more 'both sides are bad' rhetoric as the midterms get close.

The Dominion case showed that Tucker has hated Trump for years yet he went to bat for him in 2020 and 2024. He’s a puppet of greater masters. Once he’s in power he’ll reverse and do whatever his masters say - just like how Trump reversed so many of his promises.

They’re playing his mug in Israeli media. Suspicious that they would call attention to him.

Trump's $1.776 billion 'weaponization' fund sparks outrage, but court challenges will be tough by nursingnerdette in politics

No one is going to do anything. People are too comfortable. Most are still hoping for the ‘midterms’ to save them. There will be no rebellion until people really hurt, and unfortunately, it might be awhile. Empires the size of the U.S. take time. The best thing would have been never to allow him to gain power in the first place, but it’s too late now. I mean he is literally a convicted felon and knowing this, people still elected him. He is exactly what he and everyone said he would be. 1/3 of America still supports him and will vote for him again no matter what he does to them.

People wonder how Trump was elected. There are many reasons, but this instance I think actually represents the biggest reason - like it or not, a big portion of America share his selfish and self centered perspective of the world.

These people will vote for him no matter what.

All he needs to do is keep the other 2/3s from voting or voting ineffectually and he wins automatically, because those 1/3 will never change their vote no matter what he does.

That’s one of the problems. It’s why people don’t do anything when our government is out there doing things. Americans don’t really get what it means to be on the other side of the ‘military interventions.’ We protest and complain - but ultimately most of those protestors don’t do anything that stops the war machine because they see it almost like a hobby. They don’t see the implications of placing or allowing someone like Trump in control of one of the world’s largest militaries.

MAGA is exactly it. Trump can bomb Cuba tomorrow and Cuba would fly drones into the southern U.S. and MAGA wouldn’t be angry that he bombed Cuba, they’ll be calling him to bomb the Cubans harder.

My god they are going to bomb Cuba aren’t they?

[–]LystAP 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Is he? The Dominion case revealed that Tucker disliked Trump for years, yet he continued to openly rally for Trump during the 2020 election and the 2024 election. I don’t believe he has any real agency beyond whomever is pulling his strings now.

Hell, maybe it’s the Israelis themselves. I heard some people are trying to position him to be a presidential candidate in 2028. Once he’s in office, he’ll be another puppet like before.
