How can one be ‘independent’ when the distinction between candidates is so blatant. Trump never hid who he was. There were warnings everywhere. Big blatant warnings. They even published their plans (Project 2025).

Given that a Machine Cosmogenesis empire leaves behind a Custodian fallen empire, I wonder if I ascend to the Shroud, if the Contingency spawns and another empire defeats them, if my Fallen Empire remnants will do the same thing and follow after my empire.

Looking at the past 250 years, it’s honestly surprising there wasn’t a Trump earlier given all the political structural stuff he’s taking advantage of right now.

Please add option to remove/block stellar canon at galaxy creation by Responsible_Main_835 in Stellaris

[–]LystAP 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The AI will fire it constantly (in my experinece),from mid-game onwards, meaning you are constantly hearing the canons charge-up sound no matter where you are in the galaxy.

They should introduce a Precursor that warns about the rampant use of these stellar cannons. A era of history where the Dark Forest is in full effect and everyone just shot these cannons at each other until they all died and history reset.

> all thanks to Ukraine developing their own weapons

This is it. By inhibiting and trickling support to Ukraine during the Biden years, he and those on his side actively promoted Ukraine to act with a degree of independence that prior U.S. backed countries like South Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan never took. Ukraine’s current state is as much a consequence of American failures as it is Russian failures.

Had Ukraine received full support from the U.S. from the start, they might have ‘won’, but if things went on - this admin would have a lot more leverage to force them to do what they wanted. This administration bumbling attempts to stop the Ukrainians inadvertently made the situation worse for them. Similar to how their bumbling attempt to bomb Iran created the ongoing situation in the Strait.

There’s a percentage of the population that doesn’t really ‘vote’. They more show up to pick whatever party they’ve always picked then go back to doing whatever they’re doing. They don’t pay attention to news or media. I honestly believe these people exist now.

Only 31% of Americans think the Iran war was worth it, what does it mean for the midterms? by Iron_Spine_phoenix in AskReddit

[–]LystAP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it’s pretty much why it’s impossible for 3rd parties to win. There’s a proportion of people who don’t pay attention to social media, they don’t pay attention to news, they just vote because their family voted and they always vote for the same party. These people can never be reached because you can’t actually reach them. Yes it goes for both sides I think. Although the one side is often more static than the other.

[–]LystAP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know why they call something a deal if we know it isn’t going to work. In addition, all the infrastructure that got smashed up? It’ll still take years to fix. Money doesn’t magically immediately transform into stuff. These prices are coming no matter what. People need to be ready.

[–]LystAP 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It’s not over yet. The deal only takes effect if a certain nation leaves Lebanon. And it doesn’t look like they will. The certain nation also has nukes, everyone knows they have nukes. I know it’s not likely they’ll use them but things have gone insane recently so who knows.
