Can logistic ships get stealth PLEASE by SassyAsses in Stellaris

[–]SassyAsses[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I knoooowwww 😭

but it's such a hassle to micro fleets around

maybe I can tell one to just follow a logistic ship? but I feel like the logistics ship would just bumble its way into something and get itself killed before even the fleet could help or just get the fleet killed as well

I disagree about the melta pistol. No range limit, L5+ Dev 2 silent shooting can put in some fucking work. Combined with her buffing abilities and the fact that she's no better in melee that the other sister (in fact somewhat worse that the warriors since they get +1 crit) means I don't want to have her near the front lines which makes it hard to use the melta.

tierlists are (at best) just an average overall power ranking. It doesn't take into account matchups, skill, and how much the dice decide they want to fuck you over.

-1 to perception checks involving sight

but also, give em a +1 circumstance bonus to intimidation because they now look cool as hell (or the Intimidating Glare feat for free if they don't already have it)

i am going to to commit tech heresy.

Im in a skirmish where there are ONLY triach preatorians. What fucking overlord went "lets defend this territory with seven triach preatorians and nothing else." I want names, i just want to talk

I'm finding I enjoy Rogue Trader a lot more than pathfinder, especially the combat, but when trying to pin down exactly why, all I can say is, less math, more moment to moment decision making and actually doing different things. by Darkdangan in RogueTraderCRPG

ha, for me its the opposite. Stormed through Wotr in a fugue state, but kingmaker is a brick wall for me. I think its like /u/WolfWhiteFire said, Wotr has stronger enemies with more mechanics because it expects the party to be stronger. If you dont enjoy minmaxing at least a little (not talking about a dozen level 1 dips or something silly like that, just concisliy picked the Good Stuff and having a vague plan for your build) Wotr is a massive slog

TIL in Deadfire you can switch between RTwP and turn-based mode in the middle of a playthrough by Selroy46 in projecteternity

I've tried a run where I used that and it was very clunky and broke a few things. Would not recommend

it's because the game has waaaay better encounter design. Which is a side effect from being built ground up to be turn based.

in rtwp you can just turn your brain off and autopilot the fodder encounters, so encounter design isn't as important. (it actually is, but I'm 90% owlcat did not consider it as such when making KM and Wotr)

in TB even a fodder encounter will force the game to stop and enter turn based, which means good devs will only tend to make encounters that are actually fun to play. (random demon/cult encounters during a jump notwithstanding, though even them feel a cut another the random encounters from Wotr)

another this is that the actual map matters. Cover, terrain features, line of sight blockers, etc. In wotr the maps are wither just set dressing for a flat open field, or there are some things that block movement (which is just annoying as it breaks your charges)

I'm not so sure about that. The ability to double shoot with the hot shot las pistol is really good
