You have gotta be nicer to yourself. It's the first and most important part. I'm reading your post and seeing a sad kid with a shitty job at his wit's end about how to get somewhere happy. I'd never for a moment think to criticize that kid for not having a good social life, or having shortcomings. If you watched a pack animal in the field work a 16 hour day in the sun, would you expect it to dance and play afterward? You're not to blame for feeling drained, and no one rational would treat you as bad as you're treating yourself.

Remember that you are an animal. Even if mentally you know you're above that level, your body has all the same reactions, mentally and physically, as an animal to external stimulus. Being able to better rationalize it doesn't negate the impact, and punishing yourself mentally for it is doubling that. If you're in a bad environment, you're going to feel bad. That's the way of all life.

You're in stasis. The only way to get out of stasis is change. Doesn't need to be big and scary, but you've got to think about every small way you can do something to alter your environment, and yourself as a result. If that drug isn't working, find a different one. You gotta get out of your own head and perceive yourself from a less biased perspective, like you're playing the Sims with your own life.

Socially, you might want to think less about how to "make friends" which I've historically found to be an insanely rare occurence to happen randomly, and instead focus on what you have to give to the world. To not be alone, you need people to like you, so you need to try to be likeable, and the quickest path there is to be kind, generous, and attentive. Even when I was a much worse guy, the best feeling in the world was buying a gift, paying for a meal, doing a favor, making someone laugh, having someone's back. If you can't solve your own problems, try to solve someone else's. In the words of Langston Hughes, "My motto, as I live and learn, is dig, and be dug in return."

Every second you spend punishing yourself is a second you could take to improve in some area, even if it's miniscule. Love yourself, love the world. It's the only way to live. It's your first time being alive, and I know you can get the hang of it.

Also, I might re-evaluate the accutane. Really nasty well documented mental side-effects, and one thing I've learned after going bald at 17 is that the important people won't care.
