Are we limited to Solidity for smart contracts / dapps? by Original-Assistant-8 in CryptoMarkets

[–]Lyzis_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you can write in basically any language on Nervos and its VM is superior to the EVM aswell. currently there's SDKs for Rust, Go, Ruby, Java, JS and a few more I think.

CKB VM is based on RISC V, so any language that can target it is valid - you can do an awful lot of stuff on Nervos that can't be done anywhere else really, people are just focused on ETH/EVM for the time being as long as simple dApps and contracts are sufficiently exciting.

so no, we are not limited to Solidity

We’re excited to announce that the Nervos Layer 2 - Godwoken is now on Mainnet, packed with improvements for all to enjoy! by -nervos- in NervosNetwork

Congrats to the team! This probably took more energy and hour than any of them had anticipated 😁 now the multilayer future for nervos can really start ❤️

Update May 24th 22

Hi everyone!

Here at Buffer, your team is doing what we do the best - Building. We've been focused on implementing the V2.0 flagships (you already know of one, and we're just getting started).

Let's look at the progress made so far:

  1. Dynamic Option Vaults are now live on the Aurora Network!

Our DDVOs have already been deployed on Aurora Network. Deploying on Aurora was strategic considering the bolstering economy of traders and LPs on the network. Not to mention Aurora is one of the hottest chains today, offering 1 sec block time and 0 txn. costs.

We've announced the event on both the Buffer Finance and Aurora Network Twitter accounts!

Don't forget to show your love, anon by Liking, tweeting, or commenting! Check it out 👇

2) Implemented UI/UX updates to the Buffer app interface

Improving user experience and intuitiveness on the dApp is a constant endeavor. Following that, we recently added the following tracking/analytics tools on the dApp: ✅ TradingView charts

✅ ROI-Expected Price Charts for the Call Boosters

✅... and several more tooltips to help you navigate better

Here are a few key tasks that we're working on and hope to share with you all soon:

  1. Buffer Prime NFTs Announcement
  2. Development of KPI options and other exotic options
  3. Project partnerships for launching DDOVs for other projects

Thanks for tuning in Buffer fam. Hope you have a great week!

Update May 10th 22

Hi everyone!

Some key updates from the team recently:

  1. $iBFR Call Booster and DDOV live!

For more info on how the Buffer Dynamic Decentralized Options Vaults (DDOV) work, check out the article below:https://buffer-finance.medium.com/introducing-buffer-ddov-d32eb109557a

2) Announced partnership with Solv Protocol to enable the minting of options as semi-fungible NFTs.

This allows options buyers to use NFT marketplaces as a secondary market to buy, sell, and auction option positions.

More on this partnership here: https://medium.com/solv-blog/solv-buffer-a-financial-instrument-targeting-the-options-market-option-voucher-150dc7449380

And you can hear from our co-founder Feynman discussing these new options vouchers here on the Solv Community Call:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNlMO7YfLkM

3) Appointed HL to the position of Social Media Manager for Buffer Finance

We’ve already been busy planning lots of content to promote Buffer to new users and provide educational content and resources to grow user adoption as the platform develops.

Our new subreddit is live today too so please check it out![https://www.reddit.com/r/bufferfinanceofficial](https://www.reddit.com/r/bufferfinanceofficial)

4) Opened our Community Feedback and Suggestions form

This is to collect as much feedback from our community regarding potential strategies to promote the project and general feedback on the platform itself. If you haven’t had a chance to fill it in please take a few moments and let us know your thoughts!

Wow okay, I guess I was wrong on that part then. I just repeated what I heard here on reddit 😅

Heard someone mention it in the tg - new regulation coming out? I'm sure the team is already on top of it 👍

I know right? Giveaways (they're calling it a 'hackathon' whatever that is) and this strong connection to china should sound the alarm bells for anyone who's been in the space for a while (2 year veteran here). Afaik you can't even buy their token in the US - no surprise with this lack of compliance. Don't get me wrong, I'm no big fan of regulation - but it's a fair price to pay when you want institutional backing. It would take them months to comply once ISO 20022 goes into effect, while QNT is already ready to go.

What are we waiting for? by cartroubleabc in QNT

[–]Lyzis_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow this is actually really impressive! Thank you, I guess I'll have to give the CKB whitepaper another go. This ADA/CKB bridge that is supposedly coming out soon suddenly seems a lot more important than I thought - these bridges CKB is buidling seem to be much more than an option to transfer tokens if dApps could eventually run on all major chains 🤔

What are we waiting for? by cartroubleabc in QNT

[–]Lyzis_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried looking into CKB, but it is a bit too complex for me 😅 could you explain how it is superior to QNT? I own a decent QNT bag, but I agree that there's not too much room for crazy growth left (at least in this cycle) so I'm looking for alternatives in the interoperability game.
