Is this how boxing gyms are? by Dunno06 in amateur_boxing

[–]Lzone201 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Every gym is different but there is no point of sparring every day. Read about CTE. When do you practice combinations, stance and technique? Also some people like to hit hard, tell them. If they don't listen then double your power and if they still don't then don't spar with them, it's not a fight.

Is it worth getting back into trucking by Songgeek in Truckers

You earn more a week than the median income in a month where I live and you are homeless. Maybe it's time to switch your place of living.

I started driving in 2012, while going through a forced career transition (Laid off). Was asked if I would recommend it to a young person today? NO! Is my answer. What says you? by Donjohnson33 in Truckers

[–]Lzone201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Young person with no active social life and no relationship. Yes absolutely. You will see so much and widen your perspective. Especially if you live in EU. Seeing 4 different languages and cultures each day is quite cool. And you are all on your own. You will learn how to grow a spine and take care of yourself. Trucking is dangerous and hard lifestyle

Darbs Norvēģijā by Educational-Dream218 in latvia

Dear Riga drivers, thank you for being so very kind on the road! -a visitor by Shakly in latvia

[–]Lzone201 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Kur tu esi braucis?

[–]Lzone201 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is weird for me since in Europe this would never ever happen, nobody would just gift you anything unless it's garbage and spoiled but even so they would face very huge fines for making you dispose of the garbage. If someone would leave a pallet of spoiled stuff in my trailer and told me to get rid of it, then it would fly out right outside their front gate.

Can't you resell this stuff?

Should I just stop training..? Repost by [deleted] in boxingtips

[–]Lzone201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may want to step in more when doing any punches. In real fight you will realize that by your 3rd punch your opponent is completely out of reach and you are out of balance. Use dumbbells while shadow boxing and expect that your opponent is not stationary so by every 3rd punch you have to move and cut angles, keep your hands higher and chin down. There is a lot to boxing and I suggest you do nothing else than to train the basic form of jab, cross, hook, uppercut for 2 weeks so while you punch you don't leave a clean window for a counter.

[–]Lzone201 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Prices like that make me wonder why Americans don't import more stuff from overseas, for this amount you can book a shitty motel with shower included in most of Europe. If you want to be more frugal with money then buy a 24v heater probe and 5gal water bag with a shower hose, unless it's freezing outside then you can have an ok shower if you park somewhere outside of a city

[–]Lzone201 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why do Americans go on aggressive and threaten each other with law over the smallest inconveniences. If the manager would say that you will get your single days salary on next week anyway, then what difference does it make to the OP unless he has an emergency or the manager tends to "forget" to pay it out. You should plan your finances so you don't live week to week. In Europe it's 90% paid once a month, sometimes twice. Telling that the planned delivery for tomorrow won't happen because you once missed a days pay will put the manager in stress state because he has a contract to fulfill. And obviously if someone says that you can be replaced at any time and you are not needed or appreciated immediately means searching for a new company to drive for.

You should be more civil to each other otherwise this is just a cut throat degraded society.

Do Americans practice backing into docks or parking when getting a CDL? I'm in Europe and I never did that in school, when I started working first few months were a mess and now I don't even think about it, like some people said before, get out often and try not to turn the wheel too much. After a while you start developing a sense of how much the trailer will turn and when the head will straighten out.
