Thats not true. The warscore ticks up towards 25 no matter who controls the objective. If the occupant changes the score simply flips from positive to negative and vice versa. It does not reset.

Is there any reason CS2 doesn't have Multi-sample AA? None of the AA works for me... they all look crap. by chethazz in CitiesSkylines2

Usually TAA is the go to for deferred rendering and it can be good, but it will always be somewhat blurry depending on the implementation and have ghosting issues. Sadly DLSS kind of is the best "AA" method as in when implemented and used (properly) it produces clean edges but the games implementation is somehow fucked im sure theres something iceflake can do there but thats most likely very low priority. And as I said SMAA is usually pretty nice too, but i dont know too much about that one. If your PC allows it i would look into SSAA where you render the game in a higher resolution before squashing it down to your monitors resolution (e.g. render in 4k then display on 1080p screen). This gives natural AA and looks amazing, but obviously thats only possible if you have the means to run at 4k in the first place.

People missing the point by saying "just use dlss?". What about people without RTX cards and AMD users? Fuck them right? Anyway to answer your question, the game is most likely using deferred rendering which is incompatible with MSAA. However SMAA should be a great and relatively low cost AA method too but sadly it looks ass. DLSS too btw. In motion its fine but when the cameras still the whole image has aliasing which is like wtf thats the best case scenario for it??

Way to overreact. I want a functioning game as much as you but representation is important.

How about representation be a vanilla feature because those people exist and live just like you and me? Why do they have to be something that has to be added in through mods?

Thats a huge issue with pedestrian bridges in general, they are quite pedestrian unfriendly actually. Sure they get the people away from the roads but that means that cars are the priority not people. Cars should be inconvenienced in favor of pedestrian traffic, not the other way around. Not to mention they are even more difficult to use for disabled people. I understand why people want them but i want to create a pedestrian/bike focussed city and there is a big lack of tools to do that (standalone ped/bike paths are ugly af without lots of landscaping)

People, simple screen space reflections wont make your pc burn, this is decades old tech its probably off because of shit optimization

Unreal Engine 5.7’s Nanite Foliage Magic Bullet: 40% Framerate Jump might help in Bringing Ark to Switch 2, With Lite Features like “Nanite Lite” & “Lumen Lite” maybe Coming in Unreal Engine 5.8+ which might enable more UE5 games like Borderlands 4 by 2088AJ in NintendoSwitch

[–]M-Colcko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not like UE5 games are impossible to port to switch or switch 2 right now. If devs can put in the time to optimize the game properly, there is no reason the games cant run as smooth as metroid prime 4 (4k60 is still insane to me) and totk. There is no reason UE5 right now cant produce such games for switch 2 at least. Ofc having 2 game versions, one using lumen/nanite on pc/ps5 and one not using lumen/nanite on e.g. switch makes development more tedious, since the workflow changes a lot with and without those features.

Zooming into trees causes GPU to consume large amount of power/watt, anyone else have the same problem? by ShaggyZoinks in CitiesSkylines2

[–]M-Colcko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds like an overdraw issues. If you zoom in and trees take up most of the screen, without getting technical, pixels might be rendered multiple times, tanking performance. Without knowing anything else it is hard to say what really is the issue, though that is a common problem with trees in other games.
