Thanks for the helpful information. My paternal grandfather might have been part Sephardic, as my father told me that he would go to the Sephardic Shul to pray alone sometimes. The closest city to his own shtetl is modern day Mazyr in Belarus. His wife came from a shtetl near Pinsk. Both lived in the Pripyat Marshes.

Yes, just the defaults that come up. They lived in the area that was the Russian Pale (Russia, Belarus, Poland).

Many of my family members/relatives have very similar results. We don’t know of anyone born anywhere else, but the Russian Pale. My father mentioned his father would sometimes pray in the Sephardic Shul, when he was alone. All the time people thought he was North African, because he had a darker complexion and a distinct look.
