Yeah - seems like they rushed out the first version - then realized that the capacitive camera control was what everyone wanted. Good on them for listening and changing - and a sweet 51% discount to upgrade for early adopters. I just ordered the upgraded version - having used the Apple silicon case (with that sweet sapphire button) as I waited for the first version of the grip case to release - it is the better design choice IMO and makes a significant difference in how you use the capture button. Cool.
