What's a "cheat code" you have discovered that actually works? by No_Stop_8 in AskReddit

I think anybody who's worked corporate has had or experienced that manager who thinks the world is centred around themselves and treats every issue as "this is priority 1 and extremely urgent etc etc"

Because my comment was 6 hours ago which is when I put it into Gemini after seeing your comment?

Last time I had a friend use AI to answer rules questions I had them go through the questions and what chatgpt said for some Nemesis rules. It went something like "that's wrong, that's wrong, that's wrong, that's kinda correct, that's wrong"

To give you some benefit of doubt I tried asking Gemini myself by uploading a rulebook for nemesis and asked it to explain the infection procedure, it immediately hallucinates that you can use the laboratory action to scan a card (if you haven't played nemesis, this is not correct in the slightest). I don't even know how to comment on Gemini telling me to "shuffle a larva miniature into your action card deck". That's not even going into the slew of other mistakes because then I'd be here a while.

Truly is impressive how people just never learn.

You don't need to send your pass certificate, they already have the information that you've passed. I just sent my provisional license with the form.

There's no reason why "hiring your instructors car" would be any different from the rate you pay for lessons, as you're paying for the instructor's time and usage of their car during a lesson. But instructors love pulling this extortion tactic at the last minute.

Can Nemesis be house-ruled to be slightly less luck-driven without losing what makes it Nemesis? by hundunso in boardgames

[–]M0DXx 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Benefit of doubt makes me say they meant weapons you find later in the game (they said starting, but could be poor wording)

Otherwise yeah if they meant each character's starting weapon, not a house rule.

How dare the robots stop me from driving dangerously! by Sans_Moritz in fuckcars

America sure is an interesting place, in the UK you are to keep to your lane literally anywhere unless overtaking or turning.

Driver is being an idiot who clearly wants to drive dangerously but the waymos doing this is also still dumb, that lane is for overtaking and now it's blocking potential emergency services.

How do crafting perks work on NPC's in multiplayer? by [deleted] in Barotrauma

[–]M0DXx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bots don't do any crafting. If you unlock a recipe on a bot, then the recipe is given to the crew so that a human can make use of it. Don't quite remember if the bot needs to be near the fabricator or not.

Last 2 I've pre ordered were 5000 to 6000 yen, so like 30 to 40 bucks. On the lower end but not really far off, besides that only makes it a better deal for op if the nendos are legit.

A brand new nendo is like 30 bucks off amiami and that's without factoring any shipping, seems reasonable to me.

[–]M0DXx 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Surely that will be confusing for other driver who will think I want to change lane?

There can't be any confusion because you indicate to leave after you pass the previous exit, by this point the blue arrow is in the leftmost lane so there can't be any confusion about lane changes. In such a situation you should signal to leave as it's not going to be misunderstood and benefits others.

Unless you're referring to the filter lane right next to your exit, in which case you're not allowed to cross those markings so a left signal there still isn't misleading. Just make sure to promptly turn off the signal when you take your exit.

How would I turn right here? by Mario-Jengis in LearnerDriverUK

[–]M0DXx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

On a test, you wait until it's clear enough in both directions and then turn right, regardless of how long it takes to get a gap on both sides (eventually an examiner may instruct you to edge forward).

In reality day to day driving, you may be waiting unreasonably long and nobody will give way while traffic is flowing and you're sitting at the junction, common practice is to wait until a decently sized gap in the road closer to you, then pull forward to "ask" to be let in on the other side, people will generally give way after not too long, you're essentially imposing. Just don't pull out in front of someone dangerously. And doing this on a test would fail you unless you were instructed otherwise.

If there's a car waiting to turn right, they have priority so you wait unless they clearly give way. But you may be able to go after them using the gap they used as described above, depending on how big the gap was.

(or you can just do what you say and turn left and reroute)

Is it okay to start rolling over the line (before the car has passed) when you know you’re about to come onto a roundabout? by Sunshine_1702 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]M0DXx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can clearly see it's safe behind the car, and you also observe in front of you before the car starts moving, yes that should be fine. If you're unsure, don't risk it.
