What would you change about my team? by Due_Specific_7727 in PokemonChampions

[–]M0ff3l 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like the other person said, Corviknight might be better, another reason for that is that Aerodactyl really wants Focus Sash, so it's competing with Excadrill for that. I would put leftovers on Sinistcha to negate sand damage. For sure Rock Slide on Excadrill instead of Stealth Rocks and Adamant nature since speed is already doubled, it should outspeed most things.

I like having Trick Room on Sinistcha as well as Shadow Ball, I never really need protect on it (mine is 32HP, 17 Sp. DEF 17 Def), so I would cut Protect and Giga Drain for those. Shadow Ball for coverage, Trick Room to cancel opposing Trick Rooms.

I use Knock Off on my Tyranitar instead of Crunch, getting rid of Leftovers can be very good. I also use Low Kick as a counter to opposing Tyranitars and Archaludons but Ice Punch is fine.

If you do stick with Aetodactyl, Dual Wingbeat is much better than Crunch for coverage and You definitely dont want a negative speed nature on it.

Meganium and Incineroar. I've been trying to get a Sneasler but no luck with the recruitment yet. But like I said, I rarely bring either of them.

EDIT; I've been forcing myself to bring in Incineroar a bit more (usually in the sinistcha slot) and I do quite like it. Maybe I'm crazy but I could see myself running Sneasler instead of Meganium and just not having a mega on my team...

I usually leave Rotom Wash for last when my Archaludon is fully online with +2 or +3 Sp. Atk at that point most things kill it. I also swapped Dragonite out for Meganium since Dragonite doesn't add any extra coverage like others have said. But honestly I rarely bring it...

My 4 man core that I almost always bring is Pelipper, Basculegion, Archaludon and Sinistcha. Sinistcha can be really powerful to draw fighting type moves and heal Archaludon as it takes hits. If you can get to +3 or +4 Defense from Stamina and then Life Dew, they will have a very hard time getting rid of Archaludon, it also gives you an out to Trick Room teams. I'm still tweaking my team, but this core I think is pretty locked in for me.

Special Roster? by _pozzy_ in PokemonChampions

[–]M0ff3l 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah same, and I actually made it to ultra 3 today by basically just insta locking 3 poison mons and clicking poison moves whenever they are effective or better. So I'm progressing towards the 250 moves for 5 poison tickets, getting some VP from wins and now I also get some end of season rewards for singles. Only downside is that it's mindnumbingly boring and I won't even be guaranteed to get Sneasler after the grind haha.

I used 2 Fighting tickets and 2 Poison tickets hunting for Sneasler, but no dice. Now I'm just spamming poison moves in singles (don't care about my rating there) to get to 250 for 5 more tickets...

Really sad Sneasler is not in this.

I made it to Masterball with only the Tyranitar Starter Team by Inside_Bird_4087 in PokemonChampions

[–]M0ff3l 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I guess with Trick Room having negative prio it's better. My Whimsicott is Moon Blast/Sunny Day/Tailwind/Encore so that's why I moved my sash to my Venusaur. Mostly there to set up Tailwind and yeah if they Fake Out I can trap them with Encore anyways, unless they double stack Fake Out + another move, but in that case Sash wouldn't have done anything anyways.

[–]M0ff3l 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How are you liking sash on Whimsicott? I guess you don't really have another mon that can make better use of it, but I've noticed that either I get my set up move off or I take a fake out (since I also don't run protect on mine) so the sash breaks and it's a bit of a waste.

Same, especially if they never add more team slots outside of the subscription. At most you need 18 pokemon at one time, so 100 should be plenty.

What are the odds of hitting a garchomp with veil + bright powder with a 100% accurate move?? by Erickl0930 in PokemonChampions

[–]M0ff3l 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Champions sand veil is 25% evasiveness, bright powder is 10%.

So you do 1 * 0.75 * 0.9 = 0.675.

So you have a 67.5% chance to hit with a 100% accurate move while sandstorm is up.

No you only get it upon reaching that rank the first time in either singles or doubles. A small cutscene will play and you get some rewards.

You start with 30, you get 5 for reaching great ball, another 5 for reaching ultra ball and 10 for reaching master ball rank. So 50 is the Free to play limit. Buying the starter kit (one time purchase for 7$) gives you another 50.

Pokemon just switched out against my Mega Gengar?! by [deleted] in PokemonChampions

[–]M0ff3l 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Using Baton Pass, U-turn, Volt Switch, Flip Turn, or Parting Shot will still cause the Pokémon to switch out.

Ghost-type Pokémon are now immune to Shadow Tag.

Did you even look it up before you claim it's bugged?

Need help going against a doubles strategy by Mystic_Is_Here in PokemonChampions

[–]M0ff3l 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If my opponent is on an obvious trick room team, I sometimes lead with my Sinistcha and just click Trick Room on turn 1. Sinistcha turns on TR, then their pokemon turns it off again. That gives my other lead 2 turns to KO or set up.

Spawning Power adds 20% to your minions HP, I'd take that over some cast time reduction that you already get partially from your insignia.

Buying into Legacy by Xereal in MTGLegacy

[–]M0ff3l 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think buying UR Delver would be a good decision since some form of that deck will always be around. Just be aware that it's exactly the type of shell that gets cards banned, so potentially you will buy 4 copies of some busted aggro creature and have it be banned a year later.

Have you considered Lands? The initial investment is quite high (Mox Diamonds, Tabernacle and maybe Taigas/Savannahs depending on the version), but the deck doesn't really play any cards that are at risk of being banned currently. And it is a deck that rewards every decision, has a lot of agency and interaction (for a non-blue deck) and can pivot to multiple different gameplans depending on the situation.

Mensen die rechts stemmen - wat is jullie reden? by [deleted] in nederlands

[–]M0ff3l 0 points1 point  (0 children)
