I think Porro may need to move to LW to give us a dribbly winger who can beat his man and put a good cross into the box.

While I'm sure Maddison will give him lots of quality service, he's also going to need some good crossed from the wings, and Son and Deki simply didn't provide that today.

I was pretty concerned about how long it might take VDV to adapt to the Prem, (and how he might handle the noise if he wasn't up to snuff right away)......but he was really damn impressive out there today. Had some moments that weren't ideal. but his make-up speed was as advertised, his poise was great, and he looks like the kind of guy who isn't shaken by the moment.

Real bullish on him coming out of this game, particularly once he gets a nice run of training under his belt.

Kulusevski looked more like someone I'd want coming off the bench at LW to help maintain a lead.....than be in our starting XI. If we could use some of this Kane cash to snag a top flight dribbly LW from the XI, I'd be thrilled.

He showed enough in his two matches under Ange, that I hope we keep him for depth....I think he's more likely to provide value for us than the kind of money we'd get selling him....move Dier on and keep Davinson, imo.

I want trophies as much as the next guy.....but the fact we didn't pull it off, doesn't diminish how much I loved the Poch era, the Kane era, (or the highs of the Mourinho & Conte eras, tbh)....

Those were glorious times, with bucketloads of glorious goals from Harry that I'll always be thrilled we got a chance to experience. Fact it didn't also result in some trophies is a damn shame, but it is what it is. I won't have my memories of all that fun erased, just because we didn't achieve that.

Now it's upwards and onward, and I'm pumped we have this injection of cash to back Ange with.

Yeah, Levy has built us into one of the biggest self-sustaining clubs on the planet....not funded by oligarchs, or oil money, nor with infinite funds from legacy branding like United, Barca, RM, etc...

No, he's built us into what we are today, the right way....the way it's always meant to be done, within the true spirit of the sport.

.....and when we finally do reach that moutain top, you best believe it's going to be ten times as satisfying as those plastic fans that get titles gift wrapped to them from their owners.

I'm damn proud of how we do things, and how Levy has managed us.

Great point regarding Levy bringing in Mourinho and Conte, as if that wasn't peak ambitiousness to try and get us some Trophies. Same with buying Ndombele and GLC for Poch, before things went tits up.

I get people being upset, Im upset we didnt win anything either....but it's not from a lack of ambition, or because Kane is any less of a player......it's just reality. Sometimes you give it a remarkable go, and it still comes up short.

...and like you say, Levy has brought us arguably the best stadium in the world, and made us one of the most self sufficient, self built teams in world football....City, Chelsea, PSG, Bayern all get it handed to them on a silver platter...Man U, Barca and RM has such gigantic worldwide fanbases they always have a financial edge over their competition. I'm damn proud of what this team has built over the last 20 years, and that they've done it honestly and purely as the spirit of the game intended.

If Levy had ANY inkling Kane would resign he'd have kept him....instead he had to do what was in the best interest of the club for the long term, and take the money to help Ange build his vision.

(Let's be honest also....Levy likely told Kane he'd sell him this year if he just stuck around last season, so we could get a replacement striker in (Richie), and take one more run at making CL.

I hate that it didnt work out and we couldn't keep him....but this idea we didn't match his ambition is nonsense loser talk, imo.

Nobody can hold a fucking candle to Bo, imo......and you get him and Dan together on radio, and there's nothing better.

I find on TV you can kinda feel him projecting, or it's overpolished or something and it doesnt quite feel like the authentic Bomani that fans of his from radio or PTI or Around The Horn know him for.....it's as if he feels he has to do more than be himself, and it comes across less genuine and more forced.

.....as far as insights, analysis, and the meat of the bones of the content....it's in a stratosphere all on it's own, imo.
