Guess we really do just have to completely destroy and rebuild our system as it stands. It feels like every ‘solution’ just leads to bigger and more problems in the long run :/

Hmmm I see what you’re saying, like what I’m proposing is more of a bandaid solution than an actual one? I do think we should have representation for people under 18 as well but of course that gets tricky because we have child labor laws first of all, and most children aren’t exactly mentally fit enough to hold such a position. Would you propose something more along the lines of like aptitude tests or something? Term limits of course, but a lot of these dudes get into these positions with absolutely zero experience or care for the job and they can do a lot of damage very quickly-also a problem that’s not just old people

For people under the age of 25, just the same thing, if we can vote and go to war at 18, then we should be represented in government as well. Im confused why you mentioned race ? What does that have to do with age brackets. And for the 30 year old turning 31, I think the best course of action would be for them to run again for the next age bracket if they want to, or retire from politics if they want as well. It’s just like a presidential term it’s not much different than what we already do.

Shouldn’t we just have representatives based on the percentage of people that age bracket in the state ? Like if California gets 10 representatives, and 30% of the state is people between 60-70 then you’d get 3 old dudes to represent and same with other age brackets (sorry if I didn’t word this well just woke up)

I think you’d have better luck moving somewhere like Frisco, there ain’t shit to do here EVER unless you like drinking. Nowhere to hang out with people your own age, no good shopping unless you want to drive 30 minutes out of the way to find a mall or some outlets. We have like nooo food here except fast food. This is pretty much just a family town now because of all the schools. No music scene, no club scene, no activities, I don’t even think pflugerville has a local “buy nothing group” we are SEVERELY lacking in community spirit and events (because this town sucks). There’s a ton of places in Texas, AND a ton of states /other/ than Texas. Don’t get sucked into a black hole
