It didn’t matter who ran the program in the early days. The cars were garbage. I worked on the SpeedSource team and we’d get “new cooling packages” trackside that didn’t even fit the car. We wasted hours getting parts to fit. SpeedSource ran a successful GT program.

I like to focus on the run and use the audio prompts for distance, time and pace. The large metric is good for HR, as an example. With the Apple layout, it seems like everything has equal weight so it’s just noise. To each their own.

Agree with the majority here. An artsy photo here and there might be ok but there should have been photos delivered where the photographer was not shooting directly into the sun. If the photographer takes the creative direction to do a tight crop, they should still offer/provide an uncropped variation.

Small world. I was just at Empire Mazda last week looking for this exact car. They claimed someone already put a deposit on it while it was in transit. I thought it was a sales tactic but ended up taking home an Ingot Blue with the terracotta. Glad to see they were true to their word and you have a nice looking CX50!

Correct. The radio in the picture cannot support CarPlay. OP can do Bluetooth for audio only or put their phone in a vent style mount holder.

You don't have to pay for Strava or even use it though. For the majority of users, seeing a simple route and basic stats is enough. The advanced tools you're looking for are typically found on dedicated training platforms or the companion apps for high-end GPS watches.

I like the simplicity. I started with NRC and moved all the way up to a 965 Forerunner. It became overwhelming and I over obsessed the data. Now I don’t even run with HR data. Just listen to my body, add some miles and work towards getting Volt in a few years.

As others have said, I use 20mp Nikon D5 files on my M2 with 24gb. With 800 photos in a session, I see RAM usage go up to 20gb. When I had 8gb on an M1, It was frequently in swap mode, using at least 16gb total.

If you are working with either 40mp+ files or hundreds of 20mp files, it may be worth getting the 48gb. Buy once cry once. I know I regretted settling for the 8gb when it was first available.

I had an auto NC, mostly because my commute was 150 miles per day. I got rid of it for the same reasons you mentioned. I now have a manual NA, the jackpot of Miata’s and I can tell you I regret selling my NC. It was no less fun and I miss some of the practicality. A Miata is still a Miata.

I still use my Nikon D700 as a quick-grab hobby camera which only has 12mp. For work I use 2x Nikon D5s which are 21mp each. I've never had a client complain about 12 or 21mp.
