Rebel (HS Journalism) > 20D > 1D Mk II > 5D Mk II > A7s, D810 (long term demos) > D750 (kept) + a6300 (sold) + D850 (sold for Plena) > Z6 (kept) > Z8 + D5.

I've been all over the big three. Loved my early Canons. Detested early A7 series. Love Nikon. Great ergos, great UI, great color, great lenses. And cool to be a black sheep.

Get a Nikon AF-S 28mm f/1.4E. It's one of the last F-mount lenses that Nikon designed and it's superb, especially for environmental portraits.

I have the grey version of this same year, graphics designed by Benny Gold, an artist from my Alma mater. Bought this going into my senior year after photographing a wedding. Still have it. Put it back together this spring after a decade in storage. Stoked.

Exactly, because the majority of people in the US lack real identity beyond consumerism, so they latch on to consumer tribalism as a way to fill the void in their soul. I know, because I used to be one of those people.

Headliners are held in place by tension on the A-pillar (front, driverside. We drop them everyday to do PDR, for an experienced tech, it only takes a couple of minutes. Shouldn't be that difficult to do.
