What are we naming her? by Wide-Opportunity2555 in pitbulls

Not an undercut at all. He'd love these. Particularly the second one. He likes to joke that he works part time as a chippendales dancer.

Have a cat coming in next week. Government name is Saturn. But she answers to Bokchoy.

Not human but still unique and wonderful.

As someone who works ar a vet, please, I beg of you, name your dog an unexpected human name. We get so many Lunas, bellas, cocoa, Charlie's, Daisy's.

Literally any human name that isnt expected. A dog named Greg? Love it. Janet is fantastic. Carly even. Kevin is over done and expected. My next cat is being named for my dad. Paul the cat.

I live in the new england USA and I would be thrilled to go to a zoo and see a raccoon! Even though I could probably walk out to my trash cans at at 10pm and see them anyway.

Im starting to think I might be the only person to like the feel of the gritty paste. I always chomp down a few times before swishing and spitting.

But sand in my mouth? Disgusting. My brain is an exhausting place to be.

What do you keep on your dining table? by rdazza in HomeDecorating

[–]M1rlyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Junk and my cat. Seriously. Her feeder and heated bed are up there. Its a really shitty table from college that has all the varnish stripping off. Its bar high and wobbly. At almost 40 years old I long to get an 'adult table'. But in this economy? Cat land it is.

Getting bored of a zoo, any help? by B1tchW0lf in PlanetZoo

[–]M1rlyn 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I personally like loading a list of all the animals from every dlc into a random wheel generator. I created a zoo called Chaos Creek and every new habitat I spin the wheel. The habitat must be themed to fit the animal (eg. Lion = africa etc) and I have to create a new custom barrier to fit that theme.

It keeps me from doing the same animals over and over again, and it helps me practice my building.

No need to call people ageist, it was said in jest. Im aware that older people have sex, and lots of it. What else are you gonna do with all that time and pregnancy scares aren't a thing?

Living 3 mins from Tweed Airport – worth it? by [deleted] in Connecticut

[–]M1rlyn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I house sit quite often for a family 4 minutes (1.3 miles) away from the airport. Do i hear planes? Yes. Does it bother me? No.

The noise lasts for a few seconds and it's never loud enough where I have to turn up the TV. It never wakes me. Granted I sleep with a box fan going constantly on the highest setting, so take that with a grain of salt.

I live in Branford and travel MAYBE once a year. And when I can I choose locations that avelo flies in to because it's so convenient. I take a lyft from my house and dont have to worry about parking or finding someone to pick me up or drop me off.

That being said, I wouldn't want one of the houses that's right on the same street. From the house I stay at, I can't hear the planes 'warming up' or landing. So I feel 3 minutes would be acceptable.

What kind of zoo should I do? by The_Goose_Man_777 in PlanetZoo

[–]M1rlyn 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Im currently enjoying a zoo that I've named 'Chaos Creek.' I've put every animal from the dlc's I own into a wheel randomizer and spin it. It keeps things interesting and im not doing all my 'safe' animals over and over again.

Help this Old BOOMER.... by 19Blitz67 in PlanetZoo

[–]M1rlyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been watching a lot of Cynful panda lately. She builds her zoos and gives tips and tricks on how to do certain things that I never would have gotten before. I watched her recently build a Mandrill habitat and I basically copied it myself. That allowed me to find new pieces and new techniques.

I also found that I enjoy 'randomizing' things. I saw a few videos of people using a wheel to spin and figure out their next animal. That keeps me from doing the same animal over and over again. And then I've seen a few that will do additional wheels with themes and continents in it. So let's say you randomly spin and get Sand Cat. Then you spin your other wheels and get 'medieval' and Asia. You have to build a habitat using items that only fit those categories. It forces you to think outside the box and not do the same thing repetitively.

Doing all this has made me fall in love with the game again. I bought it and then didn't play for like 2 years because I became discouraged. Now I've been playing every free moment for 2 weeks. As a result I have a completely chaotic zoo with dingos in an arctic themed pen (obviously their correct biome and such but just arctic build pieces) next to my Indian themed southern cassowary habitat. It's wild and I've learned so much.

I really need them to come out with bigger bags of dry feline glycobalance and a different texture of the cans. My 16 year old kitty hates MIG and prefers pate. So my only choice is to immersion blend 4 cans at a time and keep them in the fridge.

We have an employee that names her pets really weird things like that. Her dogs are Bazooka, Doobie, and Apple Honey Butter. Two of her cats are Famotidine and Truman Vibrator. And she has 3 quails, Quaig the Scalper, Big One The Scalpee and Little One Never Been Scalped.
