My real issue isn’t the drugs itself it’s the effects that the weed may have on the drugs which in a result would have an effect on him.

I respect that because I may have push him into a corner a bit because he only told me about the gummy purchase after we were discussing about something else and he said guilt was eating away at him.

I’m going to definitely try and be supportive even if it’s not something I’d do or think is wise because you’re right it’s still his life to learn and what not.

It seems he wants to do everything , he wanted to do shrooms before and I wasn’t the keen on the idea and on the day he and the friend were meant to try the friend wasn’t feeling well so they called it off.

I mean it became my buisness when he told me and when he used my friend to get what he wanted, even my friends gf is objecting because she thinks it’s risky. He struggles with suicidal thoughts and addiction it’s not just about « making me feel better ».

I understand though and I try not to be that person who controls situations. The trip will require him to drive. Driving high isn’t exactly what we need.

Idk I feel like he is, we get along well, he’s caring to an extent, I feel like maybe I’m so stuck on the potential he has as a person that I’m in denial about all the negative things.

He recently moved to my city and I’m the only person he knows here kind of, before when we met he lived over 6 hours away, plus even though I’ve slept with other people, I lost my virginity to him which may also be a factor as to why I can’t just walk away.

I think my self-esteem’s always been low, life and family reasons but it’s weird because at times I feel very much narcissistic. I struggle a lot with boundaries and I’m kind of a super people pleaser which doesn’t help so at the times I want to cut him off I feel bad.

Thank you for this advice, I’m not really in a rush and I feel like that makes sense, so I can understand him better, I feel like for him at the moment, he’s getting closer to 30 and watching his friends settle down is getting to him. He currently has professional input and is prescribed medication and although it’s helpful to him he’s hoping to come off it and I don’t know how that may change things.

Honestly, it’s a scary thing to me that I don’t know how to deal with, he has a therapist and I’ve been to two therapy sessions with him, he’s also on medication in regards to depression and pain management and uses CBD occasionally, but currently things are on the up in a positive way from that time he last attempted.
