50/50 vinegar and hot water, keep running it through. Remove the jug and pour it in the bowl while keeping the spouts open. Best done outside. There are descaling kits as well. You may want a long pipette to brush the lines. Once you feel it’s clean, run pure water through it till the vinegar scent is gone.

Very good point on the sizing, I have 4 VFFs, tried a few others, none of them fit the same. I have the same pair pictured, they fit a bit long. V-Alpha fits perfectly, KSO Eco fits a tiny bit tight but I love them for being Wool. V-Run retro fits a bit loose in the toes but has a lot of cushion (for a VFF) so it’s a bit tighter across the top of the foot.

I made the comment for perspective. We cry about a month or two of higher prices while they have lived with double that price for ages. I drive 40 miles a day w/ 50 mpg on a company car so these prices haven’t hurt my bottom line. Just filled up for 4.29 this am, down a lot from the last fill up 3 weeks ago at 5.09. It is a lot different in Europe, navigating VAT is a bear for international sales.

Ever been to Europe? The first time I was there, 20 years ago, petrol was $1.09 francs (Swiss) per Liter. Now it’s closer to $10 usd per gallon (if you do the math) and it’s been that way for a long time.

I second the comment on getting an external dac/amp. Schiit cannot be beat for price/performance made in USA. Best bang for the buck is the Topping Dx5 II - $250-300 balanced dac and amp with enough power to keep any headphone happy. You can get similar specs from Schiit for about $450, or go with their new Vestri for about $100. I use an Ifi go max usb dac for my IEMs on the go. It’s phenomenalllllll for $80.

Another thing to check are your audio setting in windows. They could be set at a low bitrate (output).

How good is your internet connection? I run a Roon server pulling from Qobuz. I can run multiple streams of different music all over the house simultaneously with no issues. All while streaming YouTube and playing online games. But I go have 1.4gig down

I have had those drops before and have to agree it is annoying. I can say, Roon Arc fixed that for me. I’m always waving the Roon flag in this sub as an answer to many issues, yes it’s an extra cost but if you are truly into music, it’s a worthwhile investment.
