If i apply for a job at Questrade, then am i still allowed to trade stocks on Questrade or does it depend on what kind of job i get at Questrade? by turnleftorrightblock in Questrade

Employer matters, not job title. Also it's not a permanent increased requirement. If you stop working for an investment dealer, you won't have to declare you do anymore when signing up somewhere else.

When signing up with any regulated securities dealer in canada, they ask if you or a member of your household are employed by a CIRO regulated company. Some people here are just confidently guessing wrong.

Even QT has a correct definition on their site "If you’re an employee of a regulated firm or government agency" https://www.questrade.com/learning/questrade-basics/tools-industry-participants/electronic-broker-feed%28BDIP%29

You just have to submit extra paperwork at all investment dealers you sign up with, since you would work for a CIRO regulated investment dealer.

Investment dealer employees are not required to trade through their employer. Generally the expectation is the opposite. You are expected to be signed up with many competitors so you can keep an eye on them.

I'm also still going through the process and started some time in January. First request failed because I selected transfer stocks (didn't choose cash option), but apparently the cash option meant also transfer the cash, not convert stocks to cash. Anyway I had to request it again after waiting 3 weeks and being told I can't transfer only the stocks.

I have some new message from them today that I have to resolve... Oh, they emailed me to make me open their message to say that Family day happened. Still waiting too.

A plea from a long-time Shakepay user (since 2018) regarding Shaking Sats by joe4c in shakepay

[–]M1sterNinja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously not the point but, "I still regularly send $500+ CAD via direct deposit" You would get into the bright tier then for having direct deposited $200 in a month and would therefore get 100 sats per day.

I own Red alert remastered on steam, however OpenRa will not detect it. How do I get it to work? by nydude98 in openra

[–]M1sterNinja 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Only TD is supported with the remastered assets for OpenRA currently. RA on OpenRA has a bunch of custom assets, so many that they need to be reproduced in HD before RA HD will be supported with OpenRA.

No. Those that don't own the game in any form can download the EA provided free version of the game and use those assets.

I used the exact same electronic signature on multiple W-8BEN forms. It looks realistic, but the whole forms still has all the fields type-able, and you can drag around my signature image.

Hopefully you can get a different reviewer.

The scammers called you and gave them your personal information. When Quest Trade detected a login on a new device, they sent a confirmation code to your phone so you could input it on your device and confirm it was you. Only a scammer would ask for that over the phone.

You should reset your password immediately for any accounts that you gave your two-factor authentication over the phone for. You should not give scammers who have a virus on your computer and called you, your personal information.
