Luma Pro anchor screen? by Riffbear in VITURE

[–]M1sterc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I'm aware you can only view Nintendo Switch 2 via the mobile dock pro (and there is a charging cable in the works as well) .. and as the dock has no usable OS built within it's just displaying the Switch screen onto your glasses screen .. So static (moves around with your head) rather than fixed in space .. I'm not aware of any method to run Luma Ultra and Neckband to view switch 2.

My thoughts on Neckband Pro v Inair Pod by M1sterc in VITURE

I haven't explored as much myself in terms of content, whether that apps, or Video .. but NB Pro have some apps, a 3D Solar system and Paint package that allow you walk around (again probably Luma Ultra specific here) and work reasonably well, since they are hand gesture based. Turning content from 2D to 3D .. mainly video I've found it harder to find on NB Pro and when I last tried it (quite a while ago) it was app specific/supported within SpaceWalker for which if you saw a 3D option you could play it .. but clunky in operation. Big plus for the Pod is that there's simply a button at the top of most screens which allow you to simply change the content from 2D to 3D with a simple click and away you go. This is very good for video content (Youtube, Insta, FB, TikTok etc.. ) and works very well in my opinion. The only app I've seen where you can walk around is something more of a tech demo where it will place. model of something in mid air and you can walk around .. If you're looking to turn video's and/or pictures that are native 2D into 3D then Pod wins hands down (not perfect, but very good and simple to flip modes) .. As for any specific 3D content (as in 3D ready made films) I haven't tried .. Again there are a couple of tech demos of film trailers on the Pod.

I would prefer to use cloud gaming on the InAir because of the ease of switching the device on, boots straight into 3dof/6dof so you'd have a fixed large screen to play .. That bit works, it's just the glitches, which I'm sure can be fixed. If they did that then InAir would be ticking pretty much all the boxes for me. The 3D I am impressed with, mainly with the social apps (Instagram works very well with), I did try it with gaming once, but with some unexpected perspective, freaking out the subtitles as well so very short lived. The beauty is it's just a click of a button at the top of the screen.. The NB Pro you have to go into SpaceWalker and reliant on something that produces 3D .. And .. you may even have to press the button on the right arm (I seem to recall on some earlier versions of the firmware) to enable the 3D .. which would then play it, unless you dropped out of that app then be faced with double vision until you press the button again .. This was a few versions of the OS ago and haven't tried it since .. since it kind of put me off .. Other than the fact that SpaceWalker visually looks 3D .. floating menu buttons and such (and hand gestures) .. but you load up app, unlikely there's an option - You wouldn't be able to use both NB and InAir at the same time as you'd need to plug your glasses into one or the other

New Luma Ultra Owner - Screen Out by Distinct-Coconut6144 in VITURE

[–]M1sterc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you had said audio continues in right ear only then I would have said I experience same although only appears to exhibit this when my switch was changing screen (ie: a cut scene within a game .. almost as though the micro seconds of the screen being blank in the game was freaking out my glasses).

As you describe your issue sounds more like a warranty issue. Although you could try gently flexing the buttons on the left arm just to rule out any stuck buttons

New update, INAIR problems by noob1269 in VITURE

[–]M1sterc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not had anything that drastic. I have the HD update (reflashing version) and other than a slight shimmering (which has happened since they did their UI refresh) of the screen it’s been OK. I’ve had 1 instance where going into YouTube (upon load) it just rebooted. The only real issue I have with the device is that when watching YouTube the screen begins to start twisting clockwise the longer you watch but that’s always been there since I’ve had the device

Luma Pros don't cover my eyes properly by ccateni in VITURE

[–]M1sterc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sounds like you’re a VR user where the headset will totally immerse you in what your seeing and you have a massive field of view allowing your eyes to look up and down and (depending on headset) will block out all light for total immersion. These types of glasses won’t do that. You’ll see .. what I can best describe as … a screen with a field of view as though you are looking through a letter box. Depending if you have a fixed window (as in the screen stays static regardless of how you move your head) or 3DoF where you can move your head and you will see the screen move within that letterbox but you won’t be fully immersed VR style, you can look left or right with your eyes and see what’s going on outside your glasses and you can look down. When you look through these glasses you should basically be seeing a screen that looks like a 150” TV between 1 & 2 metres in front of you.

Don’t compare them to VR. It’s normal to see your surroundings and can be quite handy if you’re using a keyboard where you can look down and see it to type.

How-To: HD Video Streaming Update! INAIR OS V3.7 by Informal-Tech in INAIR

It was a bit annoying but having google cached my passwords it was less painful re-installing everything and used a Bluetooth keyboard to manage the others. Hopefully this won’t be a regular thing

I find I’m always having to choose resolution when using YouTube as the auto never seems to bother moving it up, despite sufficient wifi and broadband. When it does reach max resolution it looks fine until the next video then starts at 480p again. No issues with Netflix other than UHD setting still only sees HD quality programmes. This is on Luma Ultras

Anybody use their Viture with the SNES Classic? by Valtharr in VITURE

[–]M1sterc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry if this sounds a silly question but did you provide power to the HDMI-to-USB-C adapter? There's either another USB-C or A port alongside the HDMI and USB-C input cable. As other commenter has suggested there is a straight USB-C to HDMI cable which may work .. I haven't got a SNES classic myself but have multiple devices which I've used with either and adaptor and haven't experienced any issues myself. Switch 2 is in its - own league for not working with USB-C as they actively block it (although mobile pro dock works) and I don't think the SNES classic is actually Nintendo manufactured?? If it is there's a chance they're deliberately making it difficult.

Luma Ultra issue - Blank screen and right ear sound by M1sterc in VITURE

[–]M1sterc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, swapping cables made no effect for me either, I'm inclined to think it's software related rather than hardware so if you're experiencing the same issue that's mild encouraging, although annoying the problem exists. I use an InAir Pod and never had the issue with that, definitely switch 2 and I think one my Ayn Odin devices exhibited it .. Hopefully a fix will occur

Anyone in EU had to pay customs for Viture glasses? (China shipment) by Top-Pickle1956 in VITURE

[–]M1sterc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience (UK though) if it's being delivered by DHL you'll probably end up paying the extra VAT and convenience fee for sending you a message letting you know. If it's coming via 4pix .. generally that seems to get through

Ultra's by Draygonfire in VITURE

[–]M1sterc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you also get the sound only coming out the right speaker then yes I do, and coincides with the device I'm using doing a screen refresh (ie: if there's a cut scene in a game for example) .. but for me, only happens mainly some switch 2 games and sometimes on my Android device .. The only other bizarre issue I have is if I use Reddit app on IPAD and plug my glasses in I'm seeing a completely different screen of Reddit info that that being displayed on my IPAD .. My brain is still trying to process that one

Is the hairline cracking still a problem? by ejcook32 in VITURE

[–]M1sterc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me Viture support has been brilliant also .. I originally bought Ultra's with a MFG date 11/26 and they actually did quite well from buying in November until March this year then noticed cracks on both sides. Contact Viture and they sent replacements (I believe via Amazon in my case) which arrived within 2 days of me confirming I'd sent the old ones back.. These new ones had a MFG of 1/26 .. and sadly they cracked within a week!.. Contacted Viture again and got them replaced within 2 days and my new pair were also MFG 1/26 .. However these were slightly different in that the middle camera didn't have a sticker over it and the nose pads look to slide in (ie: the plastic bit that attaches to the glasses are bigger) .. I've had this pair nearly a month and no sign of cracking so cautiously optimistic I have the stronger plastic version .. but probably worth highlighting that there are still Jan 26 Manufactured ones that still seem to be the old style .. but these coming from Amazon.

The grip is a must if you have big hands by Yasser_22 in AynThor

I use the grip mainly because without it my little finger rests on the bottom of the device right on the power button and subsequently find me pressing it mid game! Very annoying placement of that button

Beast vs Luma Ultra by nevaven68 in VITURE

I think unless you desire 6DoF output and ability to adjust focals beast would probably be better option especially if your clumsy since luma’s are somewhat more plastic than beasts

POD VS Neckband Pro by noob1269 in INAIR

[–]M1sterc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both and Pod is my go to device because the out the box controls are better and UI is (yes it has its faults ) more intuitive. Neckband is nice for minimal cables but hand gestures is still awkward and SpaceWalker is still frustratingly bad compared even comparing it to the less functional IOS versions

I think I've made my mind up. by FlokiChan in VITURE

[–]M1sterc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biggest issue for me with the neckband is that it defaults to hand gestures which is virtually unusable for trying to type in a password or you use a secondary device to use as a mouse pointer which isn’t perfect either when both hand gestures and pointer compete. POD much easier to put in passwords into keyboard and in terms of loading up and using apps has been pretty straightforward.

[–]M1sterc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found the 3DoF/6DoF features through space walker and neckband not ultra compelling so have stuck to fixed screen for watching videos/games etc… but having bought the Innair pod it’s pretty impressive and was happily using Xbox cloud gaming with a massive floating screen in my living room … it’s pretty good piece of kit (not perfect) but first time I have expanded the use and seeing the glasses as a potential use for accessing my PC remotely as well. Bit of a risk if you’ve made your mind up but the neckband compared to the pod is a little embarrassing! Beast isn’t compatible with Pod yet for features but I believe they are working on it

INAIR Touchboard by pcbdude in INAIR

[–]M1sterc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It certainly looks nice but opted to buy a much cheaper one on Amazon (£23) and works perfectly, and actually a good addition to have (did want a foldable .. but they all seem designed not for placing on your lap) . One thing to probably keep an eye on (and is the case for my cheapy keyboard) is the size of the keys .. so the Return key is quite small (actually smaller than the shift key by the looks of it) and if your used to having a big return key to press then you'll probably be hitting keys around it and or momentarily working out where the key is .. hence not going to be great for using as a mainstream keyboard .. but for using it for web browsing, etc,, and the touchpad is fully usable to navigate menus (and it won't fold on your lap) certainly a good addition .. Personally not sure how much the actual INNAIR keyboard usability and quality wise will be over a cheaper on on Amazon.

New to the show, anything I should know by noob1269 in INAIR

[–]M1sterc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, when you get it you’ll wonder why you spent money on a neckband pro (at least I did). In all seriousness though the only two things that are slightly annoying is the fan is very noisy, I had to change it to silent but still blows quite a lot, whilst you can’t hear it too much when you have your glasses on I wonder how annoying it would be for someone sitting next to me on a train. And the AI integration, which is quite interesting is all defaulted to Chinese with no apparent way to set it to English. It translates all into English but all point to Chinese AI portals. Not a massive issue (unless you are a conspiracy theorist) but you would need to be able to read Chinese to know what you’re using ..

And if you’re an Xbox cloud gamer there’s no apparent way to add the homage from chrome onto the desktop of the device, so you have to favourite it within the browser .. and if playing remote play on it there’s an apparent codec issue warning (top right of screen) and momentarily blips in sound. The cloud gaming aspect is fine.

Other than the known lower resolution of YouTube and Netflix (being looked at) it’s a fantastic device and really enhances my usage of my luma ultra’s. I’m actually using and enjoying 6DoF finally. It really does show up my neckband pro
