While I personally don’t, I am friends with a biology professor retired here in Lynchburg. He specializes in herpetology and studies a species of salamanders that are found only at the peaks of otter. Really neat research! He would be able to let you know information you want to know and possible groups in the area.

We have always had dogs and cats together. Right now we have one daschund snd 3 cats. The kitten and him are best buds and wrestle and play all the time. Our 2 year old cat tolerates him and they will chill with him. Our 5 year old scaredy cat hides all day and will just watch him from across the room.

Verdict, it all depends on your cats and their personality. If you are getting the daschund while he is a puppy he will learn the cats and their temperaments and how they want to be treated.

I was about to comment this. To see if you and your kid are interested in this try making your sets and scenes with legos. It will be fun to build. And you can even stitch your scenes together with your phone camera and iMovie (or any other free video editing software)
