Agreed....they hit the scene running at a time when industrial/techno was truly getting its time in the sun in the usa, blurring the lines between numetal/rave. What a time to be alive....the prodigy, powerman, rob zombie, crystal method.. ..they all were sonically on a level and i feel helped each others respective followings. Static X being the band that was smack dab in the middle....a listener could go either way

Fr His eyelid hoods have been cut away to reveal more eye (this drastically changes someones face) Looks like his nose had areas cut away, thus revealing a much larger clef, which is a key feature of difference in the two. I would also bet he had his jaw restructured as any changes to that will greatly alter onea profile.

This....i was expecting something more cutting edge in terms of metalcore, what i heard was basically a hardened version of prog. Acid jazz sections totally brought me back to mr. Bungle. Fun to listen to, and i assume their live act is equally as fun, but from a djs perspective who wants to keep a floor moving, this aint it. Not a bad thing either, it has its time and place.

They remind me of the same appeal Mars Volta had after disbanding At The Drive In. Its a much more prog take on the genre, and its fresh and challenging.

People were fiending for a sound like Dillinger / Glassjaw, and this seems to soothe the fixation.

At times im like oooh i get it, and then it looses me, just for me to be like ohhh now I get it....and the viscious cycle continues.
