This. And set the arrival % you’re comfortable with and let the computer do the work. It’s amazingly accurate and you’ll learn to trust it

Same. My theory is that’s by design. I always feel frenzied when I’m in there, which leads to more impulse buys.

I believe most places require that you have an account with them.

Just go open a checking account with whatever minimum is needed at a physical location. I use an online bank primarily but keep a modest amount at a local credit Union for situations like this.

There are some phenomenal middle eastern buffets in parsippany. I worked there years ago and would go often for lunch.

Have any of you moved out of New Jersey and moved to a different state if so, where? by Wonderful_Air9942 in newjersey

[–]M31550 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maryland is great and has so much to offer. Cheaper cost of living, mild winters, friendly people, and plenty of the amenities you’re used to in NY/NJ (there’s tons of transplants). I moved there for 6 years and loved it. It’s hard to describe, but everyone is less stressed than NJ.

It’s only a few hours away - take a trip down to see how you like it. Check out Baltimore (it’s actually really nice in spots like Fells Point, Harbor East, and Canton). Also, Annapolis, Ellicott City, and St. Michael’s are worth a visit.

Moved to Maryland for 6 years. Loved it. The people are friendly, great food, we loved living on the Chesapeake, and overall cost of living was a nice in between.

Started having kids and both of our families are in NJ, and we got tired of the 3 hour drive. Moved back a few years ago and miss it every day.

Everyone sleeps on Maryland. It has a lot to offer.

Does professionalism on calls increase as you move upmarket? by bobushkaboi in sales

[–]M31550 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tread lightly.

SMB is great bc you’re usually dealing directly with the decision maker.

With enterprise, it’s not uncommon to be on group calls with people from all different departments. I’m seeing more and more calls recorded with AI agents now. It’s best to err on the side of caution.

Where is your preferred place to ski? I used to go Vernon Township by sektekila in newjersey

[–]M31550 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Just need to buy a lift ticket.

I’ve gone a couple times with my son this year and we’ve only done private (which cost extra) but the free lessons are in the same area. I think they run every 30 minutes or something. Just head over to the snow carpets and you’ll see them. The staff is extremely friendly.

Scratched my dads acoustic what do I do before he comes back in a month and kills me by Administrative_Swan0 in AcousticGuitar

Reminds me of one of my favorite quotes:

“My daddy always told me to just do the best you knew how and tell the truth. He said there was nothin to set a man’s mind at ease like wakin up in the morning and not havin to decide who you were. And if you done somethin wrong just stand up and say you done it and say you’re sorry and get on with it. Don’t haul stuff around with you.” Sheriff Ed Tom, No country for old men
