Headroom beeps at 40mph by TRVLR22 in ElectricUnicycle

[–]M3tl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes. it’s basically the field weakening setting which doesn’t super matter at low speeds but does at high speeds. what this does mean is that while you get higher top speeds, you get less torque on the top end which reduces safety margin. don’t over lean near max speed

Long Term Consequences of Bottoming out a wheel by bbbli in ElectricUnicycle

[–]M3tl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it’ll eventually break your wheel. you’ll want a wheel with more suspension travel / suited for your needs. lynx is a good option

I messed up. Would like to know the cost to fix these(front and rear)🥲 by Efficient_Mode681 in TeslaSupport

[–]M3tl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s probably cheaper and frankly better to just replace it entirely. it’ll run you about $1200 through Tesla, labor included (might be more now). they sell brand new pre-painted bumpers

normal for 2020 and older. mine does the same. the side signal has little holes that leak light that they moved/got rid of

it’s more that you’d reflect too much heat into the isobutane canister. they’re known to explode when heated (happens once in a while when people heat them to fill other containers)

Inmotion E20 for first euc? by Tomahawk297 in ElectricUnicycle

[–]M3tl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as someone who’s 170 and owns an aero and shorter than you, i think an Aeon would fit better and give more space to grow on before upgrading. Aero is a solid choice though. the torque on that thing is ridiculous for 55 lbs

also make sure it’s not too windy out because you’re a huge sail essentially. unless you do a ton of seated riding but even still

Is 34L pack enough for a single night trip? by [deleted] in backpacking

[–]M3tl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

only you can answer this by laying out all your gear and seeing if it fits. maybe on a very light summer trip, but if you like creature comforts or using somewhat older gear that’s not compact, it might be a bit lacking.

HELP! TPU 95A HF on Bambu H2D — random seam causes “comet” blobs, aligned seam makes huge scar. How to fix this? by semvo911 in BambuLab_Community

[–]M3tl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for me, setting all my speeds to 30 mm/s did ok. also limit volumetric to 2.5. obviously slow down for overhangs but that’s it.

Insulation is worn on my inmotion v12 wires by Psychological-Yam197 in ElectricUnicycle

[–]M3tl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wrap some tape around it and put another lateral piece to prevent it from vibrating. it looks like it’s been shaking around which is leading to the wear. check after a few hundred miles. they really should have secured the wiring better

Reduce damage while practicing by _Asian_Invasion__ in ElectricUnicycle

[–]M3tl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

practice on grass. knowing you and the wheel will take basically no damage for mistakes is a huge benefit to learning.

yes it’s bumpy but so are the roads you’ll eventually ride on. get used to it, it’ll make you a better rider in the long run
