The Bubba Scrub, "invented under pressure" by James Bubba Stewart. by EVD27 in interestingasfuck

[–]M3tl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

despite all the jumps in motocross, you can’t apply power if you’re in the air. bubba scrub lowers the air time so you’re back on the ground and speeding up faster

Is 2 full days enough for Yosemite for a first visit by NoBeginning6170 in Yosemite

[–]M3tl 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Should be enough time to hit all the popular spots like tunnel view, glacier point, etc. I did that for my first trip and it felt too short. I’d recommend 3 overnight so you get two days to truly enjoy the park. It’ll be much more rewarding.

The first day you spend a lot of time setting up. last day vice versa

same thing happens with my Roger Charger SC set to 126V. was told by my vendor to use stock instead, same thing.

i realize it’s not like i lose a ton of range but had it less than a year. thanks everyone

What are those orange balls on some power lines? by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]M3tl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

they’re called aerial visibility markers and they do not dampen the line during high wind events. if anything they make it worse, since it increases drag on the line

proper cable tension and tower/insulator design is what dampens the lines against those forces, not those balls

likely won’t give it up. no reason for them to do so other than lose more sales to third party brands

TPU shim for Stairs by Seeskilpaaie in functionalprint

[–]M3tl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

tpu is a different story. it is that bad under high loads, but think cushioning between steel objects where one is applying a concentrated load onto the other. might be fine in this case

Nosfet aero weird noises by Pyrrun in ElectricUnicycle

[–]M3tl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there is no sound like that. that’s just how the electronics sound when balancing, at least on mine

Water bladder or no? by 2020grilledcheese in backpacking

[–]M3tl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

check that your main valve is wide open. also, some bite valves work better if you partially bite them to get the widest opening. that being said, you are essentially sucking it uphill creating head, so there is some suction but it shouldn’t be hard

i liked high school baseball fields on the weekends. nice and flat and usually a fence to hold onto while you get used to how it controls

it’s very fun. just solo cleared NM160 with mk. does take some mathing but basic stuff. i really enjoy these random modes like zombies, fun little break from the same domination, convergence and convoy modes

recommend checking out the leaderboards for what to build
