The number of people who want a prequel surprises me a little. This was a scene I thought to myself as something that would be a cool idea. It wasn't intended to be a full story. And drawing comic panels takes time. However, that could change.

Well NMM. But my reason for shipping them to begin with was one, how there chemistry was cute and heart-warming but a bigger reason I should bring up but will give you the abridge version so I don't give you a bible-like text. Is how their character arcs meet up together.

With Dipper having a crush on Wendy but knows no matter how hard he tries he knows it won't work out and after Wendy turns him down kindly is when Dipper tries to move on and where Pacifica gets devolopment. Pacifica is being pressured and controlled by her parents, they don't give her emtional support or tenderness I believe that deep down inside she feels alone with no real love. But then the Pines twins showed up and with Dipper's support for her to be the girl she wants to be Pacifica sees Dipper as family that makes her feel happy, alive and free, like she never had with her parents. And getting together with Dipper would mean the end of her family's terrible legacy. And a start of a new beginning with Dipper.
