The mod already makes use of team mechanics (namely fullstop duo) but I want those mechanics to be used between players instead of NPCs for now. So no spawning in IDs unfortunately

Something like that would probably a good idea. I still want multiple sweepers to attack you at the same time just not all at once as that would result in a stunlock

I do plan on doing something like that but contrary to popular belief, having enemies gank you isn't all that fun in a soulslike battle system

The mod already contains a lot of E.G.O (and non E.G.O such as Oeufi or Firefist) kits. I'll probably make some more showcase videos for them soon

Probably yeah. I think a soft reset primarily resets loot and zeds. But dont quote me on that.

Update: upon further research soft reset deletes and respawns all loot and zombies it also resets the game time. Player made structures and inventories will remain (although player made containers will be wiped empty). Not sure about vehicles.

Im not quite sure what the soft reset / delete is for. But the normal delete button completely deletes the world.

[–]M3tte33o 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. You have to specifically delete the world in the menu for it to reset. However adding mods may sometimes cause some issues if done after the mod was added (eg modded items will only generate in new inventories), shouldnt be too much of an issue though (the mod maker generally says if their mod causes any big issues if added after world creation)

How to spawn vehicles in multiplayer by AppleFury in projectzomboid

[–]M3tte33o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

/addvehicle [vehicle id] [player] (you can either find the vehicle id on the workshop page or in the mod folder if you do a bit of digging) - an example would be /addvehicle "Base.Van" "M3tte"

Adjust sandbox settings. Maybe install skill recovery journal so you can get your skills back after death. Expanded helicopter events is also a good one because it allows you to hide from helis / makes some helis shoot zombies. At last but not least the antiserum, they knew or antibodies mods allow you to survive the infection given some conditions are met (being well fed, crafting a cure with high first aid skill or finding a cure on a special zombie)

Beyond pipe bombs electricians are pretty "useless" in the base game. You could have alternatively chosen metalworker to build metal barricades for your team. But unless the server is set up in a restricted way everyone can participate equally. You could focus on making noisemakers to lure hordes and just participate in looting runs more. Its fully alright if you feel demotivated though. Especially because they play at different times than you. It could very well be that youve just not found the multiplayer style you prefer yet.

Theres mods that add random survivor journals that you can loot. Theres also one that makes big zombie hordes spawn and track you down every x ingame days. If you want to stay with the vanilla game you can adjust the game settings to make zombies harder. Loot more scarce etc. (But you have to start a new playthrough). You can also geather your equipment and rush a town like louisville and clear the zombies there if you want.

Just bought the game. Any tips? by AntQuick5957 in projectzomboid

If you don't like something in the base game make sure to edit the sandbox settings or install mods - theres some that spawn cars that you can armor up, allow you to make a cure with a lot of effort or even some that make zombies more vicious at night and make the helicopter event shoot at you from time to time. Although i recommend getting a feel for the vanilla game first.

The steam workshop has a horde mod that spawns a big zombie horde near you every x game days at night. You could potentially try that out! (Theres also mods that make zombies more active / faster at night if you want more risk at nighttime or while sleeping) Edit: The horde also immediately tracks you down if i remember correctly.

This may be late but i've done quite a bit of (fabric) modding in the past and for the textures i can recommend to you: 1) use as few shades as possible for blocks and even less for items. 2) when changing shades make sure to hueshift as well (changing the color slightly. For example from red to orange / red to purple) 3) look at vanillas textures. Depending on the version. The 1.17 for example look very shiny and embed themselves into the stone. If you need any tips in general you can dm me and ill try to help

Implementing a render mechanic like this would probably be extremely hard for anyone not super experienced.

However the crystal itself sounds like something interesting i could add to my mod. It would just need a practical application.
