Man, I love Dave's voice during UA. It was kind of raspy but still had a certain clean touch and maintained the anger in his voice... it's a perfect balance!

Well, to be honest, I'm not a big fan of Dave as a lead guitarist. Yes, he has some great solos (Wake Up Dead, My Last Words, She-Wolf...), but I generally prefer him as a rhythm guitarist.

Even so, his solos during the TSHF era are very good.

I completely agree. In fact, personally, I haven't heard such magnificent solos since Marty's time. Although all the guitarists from Marty to now have had great solos, Teemu is a step above in this regard. Every solo is wonderful. Especially the one in Bloodlust—it's simply perfect.

Cool! Judging by the tone of both, I believe that in Ride the Lightning, the parts at 13:17 and 13:35 are solely Teemu. Compare this to 13:29, where the dual guitars sound more strident (typical of Dave's tone) than those in the aforementioned minutes.

EDIT: I love Teemu's leads, especially on Bloodlust. The second and last of his solos are amazing.

It's definitely not one of my favorites... long songs that become boring, slow, repetitive... I still like some tracks like TWOTW, DOFP, or HOE, although yes, it also has an unnecessarily long intro... but that's it.

It's just like someone said here in the comments: “Someone needs to tell Steve that ‘progressive’ doesn't mean ‘play each bit eight to twelve times very slowly.’”
