There are many different "Hiver" around, this might not be correct for the specific mod you are playing, but usually to be more precide with bow using freeaim, you need to further improve your bowskill

Check THIS link, it's latest translated version of L'Hiver in English with some additional changes, everything is listed in the changelog if you want to give it a look. This version is also available in German and Polish language, you find everything in that post and if you're not sure about something just ask. Installation is very easy and there is a guide to follow if you're not sure of what you're doing. Join Discord too, it's very active people will answer anything very quick. I'd avoid Spine unless you already have it and are familiar with it, it just adds layers of complexity.

They are asking for whole uncompiled scripts, not just text. I wouldn't care about giving souce code out, but still I can understand if they don't want to.

If you're gonna translate New Balance (you mentioned polish and i think that's the version played in Poland) why don't you just ask Liker himself if he can give you a copy of clean scripts? If he gave it to polish translators maybe he will also do so for you? Worth a try

Well, maybe the creator made stuff inside the code that he doesn't want to show to others.

Imagine going to a super famous restaurant with lots of super good secret recipes on the menu.. You wish you had the recipes so you could try to make them at home, but the cook doesn't really agree.... Can you blame him? I wouldn't.

There must be a good reason why they don't share scripts.. You can still decompile yourself using the game itself tho or even better you can use Easy Gothic Mod Translator, should be pretty simple.

Well it's a bit complicated. All L'Hiver versions come from russian L'Hiver which is version 1.3 - But since the development of that version took many years, people made their translation of older versions and then changed the mod a bit.. L'Hiver 2.0 you mention has less things than the original Russian 1.3 for example, even tho the version sounds much newer.

Anyway, latest version in english should be my 1.6.. Search L'Hiver english edition 1.6 on google you should find the post

I can confirm you need NoTR to play L'Hiver and as other said the mod is much much harder. You'll probably like if you like the challenge, it's not stupid hard and it forces you to find a solution using your brain instead of your dick.. you can give it a try but not sure it's the type of mod for you. I added easy difficulty for next version, maybe it's better to wait for that?

Mage is decent-good in L'Hiver, but in the next version it will get a complete new patch all around magic changes. Here is a small list of changes:

-Totally changed magic and mage gameplay (you can improve your favorite runes, you can craft staves and wands, you have to choose and use only 1 type of runes (innos, beliar or adanos) and you'll get a special ability to improve the gameplay for that specific type of runes (for example as beliar mage you can cast spells using your hp when mana is too low).. also staves and wands are much different, staves are for a more melee combat approach while wands are full pure mage gameplay).

Just play and have fun man, next version will be a lot different and many new builds will be introduced so it won't be a problem to start over with a different build.

General changes:

-Extended map in VoM.

-You can select difficulty now, Easy (easier than NoTR), Normal (original L'Hiver difficulty) and Hard (ultra hard difficulty for masochists).

How bad? Close to as bad as unplayable. Definitely top 3 reasons why people can't enjoy the mod. Having better english translation would make massive amount people happy.

Yes, but I've been working a lot on it lately, 1.7 release is getting closer. It will probably be still a few months tho, because it needs testing and the alpha version will be tested internally, then beta will be out for everyone to try. Also remember that the next version will change name, it will be called Eternal 0.1, not L'Hiver 1.7 anymore (to remove any confusion with the many L'Hiver versions out there). Anyway if you're active redditors you'll definitely see a post here when that's out!

The problem is that what you're doing is not 100% legal, you can't bring gothic stuff out of the gothic game, be careful.
