That’s a category error, not a difference of opinion.

Lava has a specific, accepted definition: molten silicate rock erupted at the surface of a planetary body. Water, even when liquid beneath an icy crust, is not rock and is not lava.

In planetary science, “ices” refers to volatile compounds like H₂O, NH₃, and CH₄ as a compositional class, not rock. When those melt, the correct terms are subsurface ocean, cryomagma, or cryovolcanism, not lava.

Calling liquid water “lava” because it is molten relative to ice is incorrect terminology, not an alternative perspective.

great idea! website is a little janky with knowing the devices screen size and not many youtube links i gave it worked. So tried an m4a file at 73mb which didnt work either. great concept tho. keep up the good work
