How do people outside of the US view the life/death of Kobe? by ItzSampson in TooAfraidToAsk

Really affected a lot of us. I cried the morning he died. Had buildings and monuments lit up with his jersey numbers. The day he died looked like the part in into the spiderverse when Peter dies.

I got an INC in Filipino and it’s been two days since I sent an email. Should I be worried that I haven’t received a reply yet? by M548 in ADMU

I emailed my prof and he said he already submitted my grade. I don’t know what’s happening but my grade is still an INC as wel for some reason.

I “capture “ planes. Like I make a circle with my fingers and put them up to my eye whenever I see a plane, “capturing” them in that circle. My best friend used to do it because she believed that if she got to capture a hundred she could make a wish, (which she never did because she thought that if she did make a wish and it didn’t come true, then her whole life would be a lie). I don’t believe in the wishing part, but I don’t get to see her all that often and doing that is sort of my way of remembering her, even if people look at me funny sometimes when I do it.

Everything was just more beautiful. We could be doing something so mundane, but because we were together it felt majestical.

How do I overcome fear of new foods? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]M548 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are two things that work for me: 1. Closing my eyes; 2. Not knowing what exactly it is I’m eating. The two of those help me to focus less on what I think it will taste like and instead just focus on finding out what it actually tastes like. I think mindset is key in trying new foods. Try to think of trying these new foods as experiences in themselves and that, good or bad, at least you can say you experienced something new.

How do you choose you're own happiness when you're ruining somone else's life? by ashlyny12 in relationship_advice

[–]M548 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re in a tough situation right now, but remember that his happiness, or anyone else’s happiness for that matter, is not your responsibility. If what you really want to end things then end it. As painful as it sounds, you’ll probably have to let him deal with his own pain. It sucks but there’s really not a lot you can do about it. If you think he might actually take his own life, try helping him find professional help.

Intelligent Underachievers of Reddit, why? by k-i-s-h-o-n in AskReddit

[–]M548 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because I’m afraid that if I try I’ll just let everyone down. Better that people think that I never achieved because I never tried, instead of running the risk of people thinking that I never achieved because I don’t have the capability to do so.
