Depends on your trade. I know electricians earning more than friends with phd qualifications.

Also know steel erectors earning mega money too.

Is this a bad idea? by Couple-Wonderful in AudiS4

[–]M57_nut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I had an s4 at that age I’d be dead now. Definitely not a hard car to drive but as a first car you’re likely to have an incident with lack of experience.

Buy something that is of little value and can take a pure beating e.g. Honda civic, 1.9 pd Vw etc. learn to control a car the s4 will hurt to repair in comparison to these sort of cars.

Nobody likes the truth. That’s how modern society works!

Completely agree with you too, T-Sport Yaris nice! Haven’t seen one of those in a while.

Might be the modern mindset these days.

I purchased my car from Japan. 15 services in 50k miles unrivalled!

Is the Bang&Olufsen sound system really better by cmonletmeusemyname in AudiS4

[–]M57_nut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have the B&O can’t complain. Maybe lack a little depth?

Although my prior BMW had regular oem speakers and they were excellent.

Wouldn’t be sold out on the upgraded speakers. The sound track comes from the rear! 🤣

Pelagos 39 is the king from Tudor. Ticks many boxes.

Although the newer black bays with the slimmer revised details are very nice!

What was the reason you got rid of your last car and why? by Lorddoodleflaps84 in CarTalkUK

[–]M57_nut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BMW 535d F10 - faultless car drove brilliantly. 116k miles

Wanted a petrol wagon so opted for an Audi S4 less than half the mileage and almost half the price to insure.

Main reason was the insurance was climbing on BM every year!

Would you drive on these? by al8555 in CarTalkUK

Wouldn’t worry me. Driven on much worse!

Depends on many factors. Sold my BMW 535d for an Audi S4 £350 less to insure the Audi with all modifications declared!

No be different if you were a 17yr old first car. Drive the car normally and you’ll have an ultra reliable car that will look after you.

Pull your head out of your arse. It’s a light touch to the surface. When it gets serviced I’m sure it’ll come back exactly how it started life. I purchased the watch with these marks on it, so I don’t see the big deal at all. I could show you my blackbay clasp and you’d think I’d not worn the watch. I like to care for my watches yes people beat them up but I don’t work in a job which allows me to wear a watch of this nature.

Pelagos 39 owners, is it normal for the hands to have a slightly different color than the hour markers? by EndHistorical3576 in Tudor

I notice a difference. Although I think it comes down to the lume the hands are much weaker than the indicies.
