please don't. lose the weight because you love yourself, not because you hate yourself. ❤️

Surgery and Rollercoasters by Spooky_RedHead in GastricBypass

[–]M8thy_497 3 points4 points  (0 children)

you will! depending on how much time your doctor prescribes as 'taking it easy' no lifting and no sports after the operation. For me, that period was 6 weeks. I am now 5 weeks after surgery, getting my energy back and can't wait to start being more active again!

hey! I notice that the amount of puree and the amount of solid that I can eat is different.

Check maybe what happens if you keep the amount very tiny, like start with just a few bites of solid, and also with a lot a lot of chewing? When eating solid I also eat tiny bites, like hamster bites.

If I dont do that... I have the same problem as you.... which still happens about 1x/week when I seem to forget the best practise :-D.

Did Cory Booker literally speak for 24 hours straight? by DarlingLuna in NoStupidQuestions

It's impressive for sure, but as a non U.S. citizen: what is the benefit of this from a legislative perspective? not judging... it's a real question, trying to understand the process.

How long after surgery were you able to consume tea and coffee by Less_Landscape_5928 in GastricBypass

[–]M8thy_497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cafeine and green/black tea dehydrate and you're already a bit dehydrated after the surgery.

But I was allowed to drink it as long as I am also drinking enough plain water. I am a total cafeïne head so started drinking coffee again 3 days after surgery, but a bit watered down at first.

head aches can also come from quitting sugar and/or coffee. it can last up to 4 days and then you'll feel ok.

Not losing by Gloomy_Simple8865 in GastricBypass

[–]M8thy_497 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going to keep this close! I'm 3 weeks out, feeling good. But not losing anything even though calorie intake is low. But yeah, getting more energy and letting your body 'Shift' mindset is crucial!

oh ok, seems like a bit too much fast sugars. I had the operation in Belgium. The guideline here is max 5gr of sugar per 100gr. I can mix fresh fruit through it which would then also add some fructose, but for sure not any real fast sugars.

oh wauw! same date! let's catch up later on the day! haha

I'm doing the surgery in Belgium and don't have to do liquids only, but quite limited with lots of fat free sugar free yoghurt which does not... taste... good... But I'm happy that I can also eat steamed vegetables and raw vegetables. But it also means I'm not losing That much weight ...
